2TB Portable SSD, Up to 800MB/s Read Speeds, Black (Old Model)

I’m very happy with this SanDisk SSD. It’s compact, lightweight, and very easy to use. The transfer speeds are fast, and it works great for storing photos, videos, documents, and other important files. I also like how portable it is. I can easily take it with me wherever I go without taking up much space. So far, it has performed very well and feels like a reliable storage solution. Great SSD for everyday use. Definitely recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a great little SSD. It is small, portable and easy to use. I bought it to expand the storage on my Mac Mini and I have ended up using it for my Time Machine backups. It is plug and play and when I bought it (before the price of SSD storage went nuts), it was a great value. With the industry shortages of SSD memory, you are going to pay a lot more now. It is a good portable SSD, but you will now need to decide how much you are willing to pay for a 1 TB SSD drive. If I really needed it, I would buy this one again. It is a nice unit and I got a good deal on it at the time.

**Product Review: 2TB Portable SSD** I recently purchased a **2TB Portable SSD**, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The standout feature is its **super-fast transfer speed**. Transferring large files, such as 4K videos or complex software, is incredibly efficient—it only takes a fraction of the time compared to my older hard drive. Whether you’re moving a few gigabytes or the entire 2TB capacity, the transfer speed remains consistently quick. In addition to the speed, **ease of use** is another highlight. It’s a simple plug-and-play device, compatible with both Windows and macOS. There’s no need to install additional software—just connect it to your device, and it’s ready to go. It's lightweight and compact, making it incredibly portable and perfect for people who need to carry large amounts of data on the go. The build quality feels robust, and I appreciate the added durability, especially for travel. Overall, this 2TB Portable SSD is a fantastic investment for anyone who values **speed, storage, and convenience**. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing device! I recently opened my own business and my phone was starting to lose storage from all the content I was recording. A friend recommended this and definitely clears up a lot of my space. I do my best to organize everything into folders for ease of use. I have an iPhone 14 Pro so unfortunately it required a power source and lightening cord adapter compared to USB C. Regardless, it works perfectly!

Returned it without opening it. I found a Sandisk Extreme 2T SSD for the same price as this 1TB Smiling drive, at Wally Mart, with slightly better specs. Seems the Sandisk Extreme SSDs 1 and 2TB, are still priced pre tarrifs. Amazon and other store, the Sandisk Extreme are not cheaper than this. At any rate, if it hadn't arrive late before of initial unexplained late delivery date, but the big winter storm pushed back the deliver date almost a week more. I ordered Sandisk SSD for local delivery, same day, way before this showed up finally. So, as mentioned, it got returned, being I already set up the Sandisk Extreme, with it's slightly better specs and much less expensive at the Wallster Mart... for now. Once their current inventory is gone, the next shipment of the Sandisk SSDs will surely sky rocket up past the cost of this one. Chip storage has been all bought up by the AI dudes, so don't wait to get new SSD storage, it's only going to keep going up for a good while, probably, for years - the AI dudes bought up most the current lots, and bought up future output of chips, for future product! Bottom line, I have it 4 stars, based on price vs specs, even though i didn't even open the box. These things are very simple in terms of their specs show optimal speeds, which is typical, where real world use reveal some slightly lesser performance - this typical with these SSDs, buyers should know this. In any case, its cute, and if the specs and price suit, go for it sooner than later...

Just great for all around storage. You can always trust Sandisk.

I currently have a 500GB Samsung drive which I have used for years with zero issue. I am an editor and have assets in excess of 1.5 TB. I looked into pricing and this was the most affordable. Many 2TB+ HD are in the hundreds. This drive was cost effective for me. Once I got it, I began transferring files to it. All the while, examining and taking inventory of what assets I had. This was transitions, audio, video and special FX. This took me 4 days and I wasn't finished when the unthinkable happened. In fact, was about 75% done. I ejected the Samsung with zero issue. When I ejected the SanDisk, it gave an error that it was in the process of doing something. I waited. Tried again. Same error. I didn't have time for this so I removed it manually. (Note: I have done this in the past as I'm sure anyone who reads this has done, without any issue.) I digress. I plugged it back in. Nothing. Restarted my Mac. Nothing. Plugged in my other drive. It was found. Looked in Apple Configurator. Nothing. I looked on-line for what people did. One reviewer on here said that they had to hook it up to a PC and do a repair. My wife is a PC person, thank god! Plugged it in and after about 10 min, it said no error found and was good to go. When I plugged it into my Mac, it was found as if there was never an issue in the first place. I will use this drive, but in the meantime I will be on the lookout for a more robust and trustworthy drive. Even if I have to pay $1000. It would be more reliable than this. I have tens of thousands of assets on it. I cannot let it die on me and lose all my files! Granted, I can redownload them and do the process all over again. But I'm not getting paid to do that! *** If you're a Mac user, make sure you have a PC to link it up to, so you can do a repair on it.** I do not know if the same applies for Windows Parallel. Before typing this I removed the drive by ejecting it. As I was typing this, I got an alert stating it was not ejected properly.

Absolutely great product for laptop and desktop owners how need to transfer the data quickly. Durable, fast speed, working with windows, mac, iphone, android mobiles. Pocket size easy to casy and very fast data trasfer speed. Now you can connect it in all devices.

Very fast delivery 4 days in total. I was not expecting that. This product had a faster read speed of 800MB/s which I did not pay attention to, when I ordered. The existing one that I had, have a read speed of 520MB/s. Therefore, I got a bonus out it. Very happy and may place more order.
