From the bag I received possible a 1/3 rd of the feathers are considered premium… you can use them on a #10 to 18 the rest have a ton of down on them so when you prep the feathers to Palmer them in you have to use them on small flies … the majority of the feathers that are white with black bar marks are really faded. The price isn’t bad , unfortunately I have better odds with a XL bag of hareline brand mallard flank feathers but I still get maybe a little less than half a bag of premium feather but the bar on the feathers are darker and not as faded with less downing

Like others have said, fewer than half are actually usable. The feathers are really small and downy.

More than half of the feathers were waded up and really small. This is why I go to the fly shop, can see what you're buying.

Please listen to the reviews. Don’t impulse buy feathers. You’ll be wasting your time and money. Listing says 40. You’ll get maybe 20 in a pack. They are very small and folded over to the point you’ll just be using the barrs of the feather versus the whole feather for zoo cougars and larger flies.

The best of them are only good for smaller sizes. About half are okay for 6 - 10, there are about ten or so that are useless for anything but 16 - 18, but what pattern uses these in those sizes. Too expensive for such small feathers.
