Random extra screw, otherwise seems great.
On arrival, I couldn't get the tray to open. Even with both USB installed. Used a paperclip to hit the force open button, to find a small screw sitting on top the optical sensor. Once I removed that, the tray works perfect each time. All other features worked with no issues and without the second USBC cable plugged in. Maybe they need to tighten up on QC a tad?

Cd/Dvd Portable External Drive Player
It’s nice but very hard and time consuming to get it to work in my desktop computer. I have spent hours the past two days trying to get it to work. Has and instruction she with four different setups and I could not get one of them to work at all. Going to try again today and if I can’t get it to work still I am going to have to contact someone or send it back to them. Very frustrating. And the picture they show to buy it shows all these wires connected to it which seems like they come with it but there was only one connection wire. So the photo deceiving Was not a good buy at all.

For those that have need to read a CD or DVD, your search is over.
Disk drive arrived with a short non attached USB A to C cable. Permanently attached is a USB 3A / C cable. This connects to the computing device (PC, Mac, laptop). The transfer / power cable is extremely short. Worked OK for the laptop, but would not work in my PC use. My PC (Minis Forum) is mounted behind my monitor making termination very difficult. I purchased a AINOPE USB C Extension Cable 6.6FT, 20Gbps/240W USB3.2 Type C Extender Cord to resolve this issue. Works like a charm. I have a clear desk, with the DVD drive now sitting on the monitor shelve where I can connect to my PC or my laptop without problem. I had 10 old DVD's of images that were being stored as backup media, but had no way to retrieve the data till now. I was able to transfer the images to another media, thanks to the drive and the cable.Reading a DVD with 2.6 GB of data, I was able to complete the transfer of 35753 files to my laptop with a Crucial BX500 2TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-Inch Internal SSD in 61 minutes. The additional ports for the USB hub show up in explorer but I have not tested the capabilities of the hub.All in all I am well pleased with the results from the DVD drive, extension cable and the SSD.

No directions, hard to use as a CD.
It is very hard to figure out how to use it. The directions are far from helpful. It gives general information. The cord is extremely short which is a pain. There is another cord that comes with it but you can't use it. The device does not open with that cord. It took me awhile to figure out how to transfer files to it. You can't just drag it to it. You have to figure out once on the cd how to get it to burn to the cd. NO DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT AS A CD. No idea how it works for a dvd. I'm keeping it because I figured it out but my goodness it will take a while to transfer files to it. BIG PAIN.
