Purchased this after failing to stop a new cheaper product from leaking. This may look the same but is far more solid and better made with more adequate seals. Definitely a case of getting what you pay for and well worth the extra.

Great trap
Great trap works well and build quality is excellent as with all mc alpine traps. Easy to connect washing machine waste to . Works with both solvent and push fit waste pipe . It is more expensive on Amazon than trade shops but with next day delivery it get you out of a hole

I purchasedd this McAlpine waste trap to compliment the McAlpine FSW2PC Sink Waste with 85mm Flange, which it does perfectly. Straightforward to fit with a bit of jiggling & adjustment which comes with the territory anyway. Once I was satisfied everything was true and well tightened up, after running the taps and washing machine to ensure there were no leaks, the job was done. Out of habit I have always kept an empty ice cream tub sited underneath the trap to catch any drips, but so far it has remained bone dry for several weeks.I would recommend the brand McAlpine for the quality and for the fact it comes with a 10 year warranty too! Perfick!!!

So much better..
than the tat you're forced to buy at B&Q. The plastic is better and the seals are stronger - it doesn't leak as the one it replaced (from B&Q) did. We're a couple of months in, and all's well.
