This Book Has It All
I’m a voracious reader, as I’m sure most people that read a review like this are. My go-to genre is Thriller/Suspense, such as Freida, Sally Hepworth and Ruth Ware to name a few of my favorites. However, as much as I love their books, I finish them so quickly that it’s the bittersweet battle bookies have about loving a book, hating it to end, but rushing to see what happens. The length of this book by David Ellis made me choose it (449 pages!!) plus there were a few good reviews on Booktok about it.Let me tell you friends, this book is worth every penny. Ellis writes multiple perspectives so effortlessly, which is a big deal. Oh and the entire plot is so interesting! I was totally hooked after chapter 2. I haven’t even finished it yet, but I am so sure this book is so absolutely fantastic and the end will not disappoint me, I had to jump on here and emphasize what a great read this is. I have never read anything by David Ellis, but he is on my radar now. Go read this, like now. You will not regret it.

not what I expected in the best way!
This book took me on a rollercoaster ride that was so damn enjoyable. When the twists are so twisty you realize you had no clue the entire time what was truly going on and LOVED it. This book was all the things and worth the read. Absolutely worth a recommendation for any thriller lovers - especially if you’re in need of good book to re-energize you!

awesome story!
No real way to describe the plot of the 'who done it'. - but it's very entertaining, a real page turner! The ultimate in 'unreliable narrator' stories!

Super fun romp!
No mysteries or whodunnits in this one. Just a whole cast of warped individuals that you will love to hate! Had some minor pacing issues-I thought I was nearing the end but Kindle marked it at only 52% complete. Lagged in spots but I was never tempted not to finish.

great mystery
Lots of twists and turns. I liked how everything was pulled together at the end. Almost want to read again immediately as it would be in a different light knowing the twists and turns and I could pay closer attention to some parts.

Superbly quirky
A book I read a review on and kept meaning to buy and then didAnd am glad I didNow firstly will say this is a complicated character led story that I had to keep my wits about me while reading so I knew who was who and well who they weren’t ( will make sense when read )It is a cleverly devised whodunit thriller with psychological elements and revenge at its core ( with a tiny bit of police procedural thrown in )I loved how when the main character was stressed he quoted anomalies in words and language to himself to calm down ( ie which words should rhyme but dont and how for instance fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing, all kinds of wonderful things that really made you think )It’s well paced and very well writtenA real curveball of a book that am having difficulty reviewing/explaining so perhaps best to say loved it and if get the chance give it a go, it’s unique and quirky

Brilliant execution of a clever thriller
This has been on my shelf for a while now, despite it being one of my most anticipated reads last year.Well, let me tell you the hype is real. This was a brilliantly executed psychological thriller. The plot, characters and overall pace of the story was just perfect. This is going on my list of top 10 best thrillers ever.Mr Ellis certainly pulled the wool over my eyes! I kept thinking I knew where this was heading, but boy was I wrong! The author does a great job at throwing curveballs at the reader until you won’t know what to believe anymore. The easiest 5 stars ever!𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌:Simon and Vicky couldn’t seem more normal: he a respected law professor, she an advocate for domestic violence victims. A stable, if unexciting marriage. But one thing’s for sure … absolutely nothing is what it seems. The pair are far from normal, and one of them just may be a killer. When the body of a beautiful socialite is found hanging in a mansion in a nearby suburb, Simon and Vicky’s secrets begin to unravel. A secret whirlwind affair. A twenty-million-dollar trust fund about to come due. A decades-long grudge and obsession with revenge. These are just a few of the lies that make up the complex web...and they will have devastating consequences. And while both Vicky and Simon are liars, just who exactly is conning who?Can I just add that once you read the first chapter you will not be able to put this book down! Guaranteed.

Revenge is a dish best served cold
If you're a fan of quirky crime thrillers you'll love this one. You'll definitely feel sorry for the lead detective.A very clever plot full of surprises, so cleverly put together it will have you guessing to the end. Sex, lies, and the ultimate sting. Delicious.A great ride. I really enjoyed it.
