Firstly, the box is a decent size, and uses the space fairly well. I'd have liked to see a fold down handle on the outside, to reduce the footprint, and the chance of the handle being broken off if it gets bashed. The thin tray the 2 tools sit in is a little bit of a waste of space, it would have been nice if this was moulded in stronger plastic, but as it is it can be removed and some space made for some other tools, which is maybe a good thing after all. I think I could squeeze a couple of screwdrivers and a side cutter in there too. The tray lifts out easily to allow access to all the ferrules, with a handy size guide available on the inside of the lid, aligning with the ferrule compartments. It seems to fit well enough and tight down enough to prevent cross contamination of ferules across compartments. There's a good number of ferrules, and a good assortment too, with multiple lengths for each wire size. Using the tools, the combined stripper is a little thin and flexible, but easily coped with the 2.5mm2 cable. It's not going to replace a serious tool, but will work well enough for occasional use. The replaceable blade on the cutter is a nice idea, proviuded replacements are available. The ferrules seem decent quality. They don't deform in normal handling, and can easily be slid onto the cables. The main feature though is the crimping tool. It does a good job. Ratcheting, to allow the hand to be repositioned if necessary, and powerful enough to crimp decent sized cables with one hand. It adjusted well to the size required, and produced a good tight crimp. It seems well made. The crimp being 6 sided also leads to a rounder cable, which is easier to get into, and more appropriate to use with rounded terminals. It's a good kit, and should see me through a lot of crimping.

Great quality crimping kit. The upgraded anti-jam jaw works smoothly and feels solid, with no sticking even on larger ferrules. Wide crimp range covers everything I need, from small control wires to thicker cables, and the ratchet makes crimping easy with minimal hand strain. The included ferrules, cable ties, labels, and carry case are a nice bonus and keep everything organized. Excellent value for home or professional electrical work.

I bought the four jaw version of this tool to complete a wiring job some time ago and was very pleased with the tool - it has performed in every way that I wanted it to, from the intended use within electrics/electronics down to replacing the ferrules on bicycle brake/gear cables. Using the correct tool to tighten ferrules down really makes the job easier and the results better. I was intrigued when I saw these six jaw crimping tools - the only weakness that I found with them was that the 4 jaw crimping tools naturally resulted in square crimps and many of the terminals I was connecting to were round. Due to the old adage about square plugs and round holes, this sometime results in a compromise in order to make the terminal fit. This tool arrived in very good time and I got to testing it straight away. I'm very impressed and those extra two jaws seem to make all the difference. The tool itself operates in exactly the same way as the 4 jaw crimper - there's a ratchet in the handle so you can tighten enough to grip the ferrule without clamping it, making assembly easier. The bit that really impressed me in comparison to my old tool was that the 6th jaw makes the crimp much tighter on a single crimp. Where I was finding that I needed to crimp with the 4 jaw tool twice in order to make a tight connection, this tool succeeded with a single crimp. This also means that a tighter crimp is produced with less effort as you're having to compress the ferrule less due to it crimping on 6 sides instead of 4. I've added a couple of photos to show the improved hexagonal shape of the crimp - it comes across a little better on the larger ferrules. I've bought a few Preciva tools now and they seem to consistently hit the mark on tool quality for excellent prices. I'd recommend this tool entirely on the basis of it's incredible value. As seen in the photo, it comes with a good set of ferrules, so you'll be getting all you need in one box. I find the molding of the handle very comfortable too, which makes the tool really nice to use when using repeatedly.

Excellent hexagonal crimping Tool and Ferrules. V easy to use and holds excellently. Hexagon crimps are excellent to grip onto.

This works well, i like that you can squeeze it a little to get it to be in the right spot before crimping all the way and to ensure the wire is all the way through. It crimps with a hexagonal pattern that worked well with the terminals I used. The crimping pliers have a soft feel to the handles, an adjustable crimp force and a ratchet release if you do get it too closed and need to open it. You get a good assortment of ferrules in the box too. Overall a good buy for me. I would recommend this for what it does, it works as it should.

Trying to feed stranded cable into light fitting connections, or terminals can be a fiddly nightmare. This tool instantly crimps a suitable sized ferrule around the wire strands, resulting in a professional looking solid ferrule, that is much easier to feed into connections and saves time.

Tenía ya una crimpadora para terminales eléctricos, pero tenía la pega de que solo me podía crimpar a partir de 4 o 5 mm, siendo habitual en cables pequeños que tenga que usar cables por debajo de ese tamaño, por lo que cuando vi esta crimpadora, no tardé nada en solicitarla. Y efectivamente, crimpa perfectamente hasta lo más pequeño posible, en hexagonal, y encima la caja trae un montón de casquillos de las medidas más pequeñas, empezando en unos ínfimos 0,5 mm, que tal vez necesite en algún juguete de electrónica. He puesto fotos para que os hagáis una idea del tamaño de los terminales. La crimpadora funciona muy bien, puedes hacer mucha fuerza, dejando el terminal perfecto. Sin duda, un buen producto.
