High Quality
Should last about 5 years, this is the opinion of the granddaughter I bought it for. As a grandmother I'm wondering why a 4th grader needs a water bottle for $47? Of course I bought it, what are grandmothers for anyway! To me it looks sturdy and since she also plays sports it should keep her hydrated.

Just as expected, thank you!
Purchased as a gift. This seems very well made, and I love the flex chug cap - no straw needed. The wide mouth also makes it easy to clean and easy to add ice.

Keeps things cold, and cool warranty
I own another Hydro Flask of my own, so I can speak to the differences.I have a 20 oz (and this is a 40 oz), the 20 oz is more comfortable to hold and use - where the 40 oz is more big and bulky, possibly needing two hands to hold as it is also pretty heavy when filled up all the way. Obviously the 40 oz is great when you need the extra drink, but keep in mind if you are bringing it on a hike or something that it will add some weight. The lid is also a huge factor. This bottle has what is called the Wide Flex Chug Cap - where you can just take the big lid off to fill it up or clean it, and the small lid off to drink and easily chug. My other bottle has the Flex Sip lid which is twisted to open up the drinking part - I personally dislike that lid because you must disassemble three lid pieces to clean it, and straws don't go through. However, you may find the Flex Sip lid more beneficial if you are bringing it hiking, because you don't have to deal with the cap that you would with the Wide Flex Chug Cap. Keep in mind that Hydro Flask lets you buy different lids for most bottles. Both will keep your drink cold at least overnight if the lid is on very tight. These bottles in my opinion don't have the absolute longest lasting coldness, I personally don't need the 72 hour coldness but maybe you do.These bottles advertise as dishwasher safe, but note that dishwashing ANY bottle will affect the insulation and the outer coating over time. I would recommend always doing the top rack if possible.I would be lying if I said I didn't partially buy these bottles because of the looks, because I did. I've always just really liked the style of Hydro Flask, the lettering on the bottle and everything always looks so clean. If that's not a reason you're buying it, you may consider getting something else that is cheaper.Additionally, both bottles make a horrible sound when you push them across a table. This bottle in particular makes almost a drumming sound for a moment when barely even touched. Keep this in mind if you are taking it to school or something and as it can get kind of loud.If you are considering giving this is a gift, I always love how Hydro Flask packages their bottles. They come in a nice box with tissue paper, very well presented.Lastly, if you search "Hydro Flask Let's Go Promise" on a browser, you'll find that Hydro Flask offers a warranty and will replace your bottle for most reasons such as it not keeping things cold anymore, or if something broke.Overall - despite my many complaints, I really love these bottles and will buy again.

Jury is Still out on the Cap
It's a Hydroflask, so the actual metal bottle is of the quality you'd expect from them. I got the red color, which is nice and vibrant, and looks great. What differentiates this from the other hydroflasks is the chug cap, which I'm still not sure how I feel about. It's actually two different lids, a large one that screws into the bottle directly, and a smaller one which screws into the larger one.The lid is well made, of typical Hydro-flask plastic, and both lids have a silicone gasket. Where I'm not so sure, is in use. In the past I've liked chug-lid style bottles. I've had a few different Camelbak Chute bottles, before they grew legs.Because the smaller lid is at the same angle as the bigger lid, sometimes I'm not quite sure which lid is going to unscrew when I open the bottle. I feel like the solution here is to leave the smaller lid a bit less tight then the larger lid, but I'm paranoid that it might leak. This might change as it wears in a little bit, but I think I'd rather have the regular straw lid, or if the chug lid was at a different angle like the camelbak chute.Pros: Hydroflask Quality, Great color, really well insulated.Cons: Dual-lid system has too much guessing with which lid is going to unscrew.

Nice way to stay away from plastic
I got this 40 oz bottle because it helps me to drink more water if I don't have to remember to refill it. I usually drink ice cold water, so I wanted a bottle that will keep my water cold. My son has a Hydro Flask bottle that he raves about how it keeps his water cold for so long. This does a good job of that.I also have a few ThermoFlask bottles that I'd bought at Costco. I did a ice water test to compare between the ThermoFlask & Hyrdo Flask. I filled both bottles up with the same amount of ice and water, capped them, and left them in the same location. At the 12 hour mark, the temperature of the water in both bottles were the same. It's twice the cost of the ThermoFlask from Costco, and performed the same. Also, it doesn't come with a rubble bottom that the ThermoFlask has to cushion the bottle or furniture. This is a great bottle, but for those 2 reasons, I took 1 star off of the rating.

Great bottle, odd cap design.
The bottle is fantastic and keeps water cold for hours and hours. The only weird thing about this one is the cap; more specifically, the handle. There is a wide mouth portion that you can take off to fill it, and then a smaller drinking cap on top of it to use for actually drinking out of the thing. The handle on the bottle's lid is attached to the smaller cap, which makes it so, as a grown person, you can only fit a finger or two into the handle. Not a huge gripe, and the bottle itself is fantastic. I know that there are other interchangeable caps available, so I will likely purchase one of those to replace the standard cap.

Can't go wrong with the original
We have many hydroflasks in our household and this doesn't miss, except for the fact that it is pretty bare bones. By that I mean you have to add your own boot to have no loud metal noises. I'm okay with third party accessories such as that but you just don't have the quality and amazing warranty if you don't go with an actual hydro flask.
