Very good product for the money.
This is a really excellent finder for the money. Don't let the inexpensive price put you off. This is a sturdy little red dot finder. Best thing is the battery compartment that actually uses a screw to open. A slight inconvenience maybe but much better than those snap-on ones that just end up snapping off. The finder works as advertised and is very well built. It also comes with a few different attachments to put on your scope. This really is a high quality item for the price. As long as it keeps working and doesn't pack up I'll be happy. I bought a right angled SkyWatcher viewfinder as well to save my neck pain, but this is a handy little thing to have anyway as it's so easy just to quickly dial in.

Great value and does the job
My Telrad gave up the ghost and at nearly £60 to replace I thought I'd give this a go. Very very impressed for the money. Not quite as user friendly as the Telrad as no concentric circles only a red dot, but for the price, it does the job. Very good value for money.
User
Pleasantly surprised for the price
Well lets be realistic this was only £15 so as I'm used to spending far more on astronomy accessories I think that this is a fair price, ok it's plastic not metal but as long as it's not mistreated will be ok, the red dot luminosity can be adjusted, position has fine adjustment and it looks clear. I started with a Celestron Astromaster 130 and have progressed onto more advanced telescopes, my daughter has an interest in Astronomy so the Astromaster will be good to give to her as an introduction. However as so many say the Astromaster has a terrible red dot finder so this will replace that. It comes with a selection of fixings but none fit the Astromaster, however I found online a 3D print that adapts the fixing for the original one for this, fortunately I have a 3D printer. I think Celestron are missing a trick here and should include an adapter for the Astromaster as most complain about the original and it must affect sales of that model scope and I think many would do the 'upgrade' to this one. If I find a need to add a red dot finder to another scope or even a camera I would certainly get another one of these. Someone mentioned screws came with it - I've not noticed any?

Red dot this time will not go out
When I have bought this Red Dot, in past,( but got rid of it whn wife taken ill.)worked great. But this time it would not turn off. This is a very good product, but man made can fail( this time) I will still give it 10/ 10 . It finds the stars accuratly no messing.

So much easier than a finder scope
After using a couple of finder scopes, admittedly of dubious quality, I bought the red dot finder after reading a few recommendations.Easy to set up and align and makes finding visible objects in the night sky a breeze.
User
So simple to fit
This is a replacement for my original red dot finder which finally died. Worked right out of the box and the red dot is crystal clear. What I particularly like is that it comes with several different mount fittings, so it's 99% certain that it will fit your particular tripod mount. No hesitation in recommending this item.

Highly Satisfied, Great Buy.
I bought this to replace my old broken pointerscope on my Celestron Firstscope 114EQ and this works very well. The adjustable light is very useful. Comes with many mounts so it would probably fit most telescopes. Extremely easy to adjust. Only took a couple of minutes. 5 stars.

Expensive but Works as Promised
I tried using it for my telescope. It’s a bit pricey, but being a genuine product gives peace of mind. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, helping locate stars without any issues.
User
great scope, i really like it
i really like this. my old one broke (user error) and i wanted the exact same one. somethimes things dont have to be expensive or insane to be on your favorite list.

Quelle facilité pour les recherches astronomiques amateurs
Ce pointeur s’adapte parfaitement bien sur mon vieux Paralux 114-900 . Quel confort pour viser les astres! Je le recommande vivement à tous !

Exactly what any telescope needs
This RDF is very simple to use, and the light is adjustable, simply put it into the telescope using one of the included mounting bases. Align it with a distinct large object like any RDF (I used the moon) and you're set. Very easy to get onto anything visible in the night sky. If your intended targets are bright enough to be seen with the naked eye (ie planets and brighter Messier objects) this red dot finder would be perfect for you. If you're looking for things usually invisible to the naked eye you should use an 8/9x50, but an RDF will still be more useful for naked eye visible objects.About the four included bases: (picture included as well)The first one seems to be what you'd use for a small reflector or Cassegrain. The second one is the same but larger, you'd probably put it on a Dobsonian or a large CassegrainThe third one is a dovetail mount, it would just slide onto it if your telescope has it, I think the SLT130 and some other Celestron brand telescopes and some dobsonians use this mechanism. The fourth one is for small telescopes, like a refractor.Simply pick the correct base and you're ready to put the finderscope on. You will need your own screws if you aren't using the dovetail attachment, which is my only complaint. The bases are relatively simple to attach once you have your screws. Just screw them in and you're done.

Very Poor quality
First one was intermittent and returned and they sent replacement . Replacement had play and worst that first one. Threw it in garbage. No quality control at all. Celestron makes quality telescope but their pointers are garbage.
