Helped my son learn his numbers
I’m shocked to read people are offended by alleged racism and/or sexism in this video. This is my son’s favorite DVD, hands-down, and we are a multiracial family. All races are represented throughout the DVD, and girls are represented as cheerleaders, yes, but not only as cheerleaders. DVD reinforces numbers, and helped my son learn them very quickly. Again, I was shocked at these reviews, as racism and sexism is the last thing that went through my mind when I think of this DVD.

Covert Racism
When I ordered this for my grandson based on the label, I thought it would be all animated. It is not, the people in the video represent 90% caucasian. Not much diversity I was offended by the video and will not buy any other products from Baby Genius because of this covert act of racism.

'Favorite' doesn't mean recognizable or good
I was expecting to recognize songs in the collection (Five Little Ducks or Five Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, etc), but these songs are all unique to this video and not particularly good.I was also disappointed to see that all of the female cartoon characters were introduced while dressed as cheerleaders. Later, a whole song was devoted to cheerleaders and another showed a class of mostly white male karate students. That just isn't appropriate for a toddler video in 2020.There are so many better things to watch that there's just no reason for anyone to watch this.
