A very quick growing and prolific fruiting variety of gherkin that is ideal for making pickling gherkins. Cultivation Sow the seeds from late April - early June. Min germination temp 20 deg C. Harvest when fruits are ripe. (They should still feel firm). The addition of some well rotted organic matter to the soil prior to planting will help to produce a better crop. A fortnightly feed with a tomato based fertiliser will also help in obtaining better and longer cropping period.

Seem OK but only 2 germinated. Could have been me, could have been the seeds

Gherkins, gherkins everywhere.
I made 14 large jars of pickled gherkins from 3 plants and gave a bag more to the neighbours. I couldn't keep up with how fast they grew. They are scrummy and better than shop ones but next year I'm sticking to 1 (or 2 max) plants.

Quality seeds!
Quality seeds. Seeded directly in to ground with great result. 8 weeks later plenty of flowers and gherkins from each plant.

I can only say they arrived in time and were sealed for protection it is too late in the season to plant them so I'm looking forward to next year..
