Fits perfectly. Sturdy enough to withstand wind gusts on our 9th floor NYC terrace. It allows us to enjoy our terrace in the afternoon sun. Nice color and design. Mechanically easy to operate and assemble.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for my 12’x8’ balcony. I get lots of morning/afternoon sun that was killing a couple of my plants and making it uncomfortable to enjoy my balcony in the AZ summer. We aren’t allowed to put up curtains on the balcony at our apartment so this was the next best alternative. I love that this doesn’t take up extra space on the ground by needing a base- this holds up well on the bars. It’s aesthetically pleasing, it matches perfectly with the balcony colors, the price was right and very pleased with it. I am not sure about wind or pressure during major storms so I will be sure to just close the umbrella (probably safer do that anyway.) overall it is very sturdy and not cheap looking. When I received the package I was excited to put it together. I was very confused to see the parts that came with it. It didn’t look like any of the other items I saw on the site or from the reviews which confused the heck out of me. Maybe it’s a different vendor or they updated the product design for balconies. I had to look for competitors who eventually had the same product I owned that cost more but it helped me figure out how to set this thing up! Either way, I was disappointed with what I received cause event the instructions confused the heck out of me. Eventually after about 45-50 minutes we figured out how to maneuver the device to make it work. I do recommend having power tools to make the screws tight. The screws stick out a bit from the outside but it may be to adjust to different types of balcony bar widths I’m guessing. Once this was set up my husband and I were very pleased so I do recommend getting one for your condo/ apartment!

This is an excellent umbrella and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to open and close and can be adjusted to nearly any angle or position.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this purchase. The umbrella feels cheaply made, and the base that was provided is simply not compatible with it. The base arrived in a separate shipment. Although it was branded by the same company, it appears to be more of a universal base rather than one specifically designed for this umbrella. There is no way this base can properly secure the umbrella pole. The umbrella pole is too narrow for the center pole of the base, even when using the included adapters. The adapters only extend approximately one inch down into the base. Below that point, the center pole of the base is significantly wider than the umbrella pole, leaving a large amount of space around it. The screws that are supposed to tighten against the umbrella pole also do not reach it. Because the umbrella is not securely held in the base, even moderate wind will cause the umbrella to spin around. I would not feel comfortable using it outdoors in windy conditions, as the umbrella is essentially loose inside the base. I was also disappointed with the color. The listing photos make the umbrella appear nearly black, but the actual “Charcoal” color is significantly lighter and looks much more like a medium gray. The photos are misleading in this regard. I ordered two umbrellas and set them both up today in 90°F weather, only to discover these issues after completing the setup. Now I have to disassemble and repack both umbrellas, haul them to UPS, and ship them back. At $139 for the umbrella and base, I expected much better quality and compatibility. Unfortunately, you are simply not getting what you pay for at this price. The umbrella and base should have been designed to work together properly, but they clearly do not. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the quality, design, base compatibility, and accuracy of the product listing. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

I have to thank Grand Patio excellent customer service for their support helping me find the umbrella I ordered from them through Amazon. A little confusion with the tracking number but I GOT MY UMBRELLA and it is so awesome, versatile, practical, great quality just enjoying the comfort in my balcony protected from the sun. I like this umbrella and it fits nicely on my balcony but the first time I used it one of the spokes popped through the canvas. Not sure if I am going to return it or try to fix it myself.

Super lightweight and easy to set up! LOVE the pull-apart wing closure. Rotates 360 degrees and creates shade wherever you need it. Wish it was a bit larger for our space, but the size still shades for one or two people. The color blends in and not an umbrella eye-sore on our balcony. We take it down and store it at night - its super simple to wrap up and put away.

This is a replacement for our first umbrella that lasted just under 2 years, fabric tore & would not stay in place as seems tightening element stripped over time. The new one is very different in how it can be adjusted--which fixes the problem of the old, but unfortunatley the stakes pull out of the base at the top of the umbrella which causes the shape and opening problems. while I wanted to return in the time frame, my husband thought he was able to just push in the stakes and they stayed for a few weeks. Now it is too late to return and they are again coming out. shape is good, but overall this does not function well to add shade to a back door porch area. Manipulating the angle and direction is difficult, when stakes pull out, can't open fully and umbrella has funky bend. I would not advise purchasing this and again, wish I had returned when I noticed issues in the first few weeks
