Fragile, Temperamental, Poorly Built, Crapshoot
I think I have 6 of these and the fact that any of them work at all is probably due more to luck than any kind of quality being a goal of the manufacturer. The biggest gripe is that the highly fragile connector is only anchored to the PCB by the microscopically thin and weak leads from the connector. Usually an external connector of any kind is anchored to the PCB strongly with soldered tabs from the shell of the connector THRU the PCB itself, not anchored with thin week surface mount leads.Yes, I did unseat the connector on one of these, simply by inserting the cable with standard vigor.Whoever designed and greenlit this product to be sold needs to go back to design school. The only reason I bought multiples is because I needed them quickly and it seems that no other vendor has decided to sell these on Amazon for quick delivery. That's unfortunate.

Works with EGPU
I was really concerned if this would work with an external oculink dock. It works for me on my optiplex 3050 SFF. No modifications needed to stock case, I got the external kit version of this adapter. The only th ing is I found that my old(er) video cards would not work properly, but my GTX 1060 works perfectly fine.
