4.5 Stars
This is not the first time I’ve read a book by this author but it is the first time with this pen name. I’m happy to see their storytelling didn’t take a dramatic turn with the change.I really enjoyed Matt and Jax’s story. I loved how it jumps right into the story. I haven’t read the previous books but it didn’t trip me up at all. I’m curious how Matt and Jax were as side characters, but I don’t feel like I am missing anything. So those little things will be a bonus when I go back and read from the beginning. I love series that are connected yet stand alone. There’s really no wrong way to read it. It’s all about preference. This story was sweet, a little spicy, and tugged at my heartstrings from time to time. There were different times in the book when I really felt for both young men.If you are looking for an easy, fun read that you can sit down and get lost in, this one fits the bill.***Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie for my reading pleasure. A review was not a requirement.***

FAVORITE OF THE SERIES
This series has been amazing & I’m dying to get in to book 4 but these two, “Max”, ughhhhh..**swoon**!! These boys were just utterly amazing. This one isn’t the spiciest in the series but Matt’s sense of humor & Jax’s heart just hit me right in the feels. Some things felt a little redundant, which is consistent with the other books too but overall this series is making my heart so happy.

Loved It!
From the very first page, I absolutely loved everything about this book! I was immediately sucked into Matt and Jax's friendship. I just loved how much time they spent together and how we were a part of their normal day to day conversations. I felt so involved in their lives. Their first kiss at a college party was the catalyst to help Matt realize maybe he wasn't so straight after all. They had open and honest conversations about what he was feeling, about protecting their friendship at all costs, and how to take that next step into the physical relationship...and it was all just fabulous! And boy were they physical. Holy smokes this book was so hot and SAF. The frank dialogue, the dirty talk, the way they couldn't keep their hands off each other, the exploration into all the new things for both of them, all of it was just pure fire. All that heat was wonderfully balanced by their friendship and their trust and love in each other to make each scene just amazing. We also get the backdrop of college baseball, since they are on the same team together, and that was the icing on the cake for me since I am a huge fan of sports romances. All the friends were back from the first 2 books and they were woven into the story so well. I was so sad when this book ended, I could have just kept right on reading about Matt and Jax and all their friends, but there is Eli's book to look forward to next. The ending put the biggest smile on my face and I was so happy they never wavered in their love for each other. All the stars for this, such an enjoyable book!

Preachy in parts
I like Willow Dixon and she’s a great author, especially the sex scenes. But there were so, so, SO many parts that were preachy that it took away the joy of reading. A NOVEL.

Sweet Best Friends To Lovers
I had to take a very very long break with this book and it was very much a "It's me and not the book" issue. And I hate knocking down the star rating for it.Ever feel like authors try really really hard to cram as much queer representation in a book as possible and it mostly just comes across as trying too hard? I got that feeling about halfway through this book.I loved Matt and Jax and their relationship was solid, but felt dealing with some of the side character issues could have been left out or left to their own books.I also would have loved to see more with Matt's interest in lingerie. I feel like there was a huge build up to it and we only got one scene.Overall, I still really enjoyed this book, and I'm glad I came back to finish it.

this one was good as well!!
***Spoilers here and there*** Im a keep this review short. Because not much to say. Because I was more curious about Eli lol. But interesting in both Jax and Matt story as well. How Matt figured out he liked guys; I figure he did when I was reading Alex book when they were having that conversation about him doing what others expect of him and figuring things out for himself. And not being a yes man all the time.I was glad in the end that Matt figured things out and got to be his own person and stop doing what he’s dad expect of him. Because I’m real life its people out here that actually grown up the way that Matt did and have done or still doing things that their parent or parents expect of them.I was glad that Matt figured things out in the end and ended up becoming a coach while Jax become a pro baseball player….But besides all that I’m curious about Chase like his He like Jax said he might be or is he fighting his sexuality and fighting within himself. I would like to know!!! Honestly!

Fabulous read!
Gah! Honestly there was so much I loved about Matt and Jax’s book I don’t know where to start! I’m a huge fan of sexual awakening, and all the feelings and firsts that come with the journey. Matt and Jax are not only college baseball teammates, but besties as well. These two are inseparable and when dared to kiss, Matt realizes he may not be so straight after kissing his gay bestie. I loved the care each of them took in exploring all their firsts together, and making sure their friendship was paramount. I loved that they talked, were open about their feelings for the most part. The chemistry between them was off the charts HOT, but their connection really was the focus of them. They were so in tune with each other in and out of the bedroom (or couch) and I loved all the sexy times they shared. I found myself both smiling and fanning myself through their story and was sad when it was over. I also enjoyed getting some glimpses of the other roommates we’ve gotten to know along the way. While this stands alone within the series, their stories are not to be missed!

Another Willow Win!
Another Willow Dixon Book, another trope I love & another amazing book. Having seen Matt & Jax (aka Max or the Dream Team) in the first two books in the series I was champing at the bit to read their story!I absolutely loved these two idiots in love who didn't realize they were in love. I absolutely love the 'straight' character doesn't know he's in love with his best friend trope and Willow did it excellently in this book. Matt's slow realization that he might not be straight and Jax working to hide his attraction and feelings because he didn't want to be the walking cliche of "gay guy in love with his best friend" was amazing.Matt & Jax's different relationships with their families and the expectations placed, or not, by them about their baseball careers was amazing and watching them navigate that and the decisions they come to was amazing.I also loved learning more about Eli this book, our little hermit has some surprising moments and I cannot wait to read his book soon.Loved this book from start to finish, was so full of laughs and heart, absolutely loved it.

There is a next level of steam entirely here, and I am here for it. I love how this book really focuses on the secrecy and difficulty of coming out to people in a sports team. But I am hyped for Eli's book!

It was good!
I enjoyed it a lot, but in my opinion there were too unnecessary sex scenes thrown in there. Apart from that, I liked how the relationship progressed and there were some cute moments too 👍

Bros being bros
Matt and Jax have been best friends for years, they do everything together - almost. When they are dated to kiss at a party Matt doesn’t hesitate which is a surprise to Jax, who has always tried to not have any feelings for Matt despite being attracted to him.The kiss opens up a whole new world for Matt, he starts questioning Jax about being with men, about the prostate, and then when he asks Jax to help stimulate it for him (after trying alone and not being sure he was doing it right) Jax agrees to help. Matt quickly discovers he is Bi and that he has more of a thing for his bestie than he realised. The two start a bromance, with rules in place about not coming between their friendship or in the way of baseball. It quickly develops into so much more than that. The steamy times are so good, Jax helps Matt with his self doubt, his anxiety and discovering more about himself. They are so dang adorable. Like, so much. Loved their story, the way they are together, the support for one another, such fun banter and delish heat!““You’re never a complication. Loving you isn’t a complication. Us being together isn’t a complication.” He gripped my shoulders, his eyes boring into mine. “You’re mine.”“I am.” I grinned, and what felt like bubbles erupted in my chest.“Yup. Just like I’m yours.”“You totally are.””🍑MM Romance🍑Bi Awakening🍑Toys🍑Butt Cuddles🍑HEA
