Easy to install, and very secure.
This fits easily and very securely in the loop on my Topeak saddle bag. My radar’s quarter turn mount is 90 degrees different than the Garmin Varia , and this mount was easy to adapt. Just undo two screws on the back and turn the mounting plate. This holds my radar’s quarter unit securely, but I also use the safety strap to secure my radar’s quarter unit unit to the saddle rail.

Works well! Secure it though.
I was so frustrated that my Garmin Varia RTL515 wouldn’t fit on my ebike- but this worked! I put it on my cup holder on the bike’s rack bag. I have heard they can pop off, so I got a silicone case and a dangle thing to tie to the bag just in case. Seems to work perfectly! It’s worth it to make the Varia work. It’s a safety game changer for biking.

Clip Not Very Secure
How I wanted this to work... Oh how I wanted this to work. I have a steel gravel bike. It has a little rack with a bag on the back. The bag has loops for attaching things on the back. One of the things the bag's designer envisioned attaching was a light. So I was delighted to find this product. I thought, "Ah, I will be able to attach my beloved Varia radar to my bike."Attaching it was very easy. Unfortunately it does not want to stay attached. My bike has a steel frame with thin tubing and giant tires that are inflated to a low pressure. The bike is as compliant as a rigid bike can be. However, the second I go over any road surface rougher than the autobahn the clip bounces off. My Varia is now more scarred than Victor Zsasz. The clip comes off if I even look at a railroad crossing. It holds the Varia securely, but is less than secure itself. It would be a perfect solution if it worked, but it really really doesn't unless you're riding exclusively on silky smooth surfaces. Alas.

perfect problem solver for a shorter rider
This solved many problems. I ride a 52 cm road bike, so there was not really room for this on the seatpost with a tool bag, OR if I clip-on fender in the winter time the two would not work together. Now the Varia just clips onto my seatbag where there is a strap. Easy. Done.

Third time the charm
I'm only giving this 4 stars because this is the third one I have had that has lasted so far for about a yr without breaking. You ask why 3 ? They gave me a replacement for the second one.The last one had a definite better look to the plastic. It is really the only attachment that I could find at the time with a clip on. I have since bought another one!

Great but be careful it can snap
I have one of these holding my varia on to the back of a Topeak saddle bag. I love the combo and purchased one for each bike. I would give if 5 stars except for one fatal flaw, mine snapped under normal use.I learned the hard way that a sudden hard impact (deep pothole at 40mph on a descent) can cause enough vibration to snap the clip in half. I lost the clip and the varia radar. :(** the impact was enough to bounce my Chain off the derailleur. No damage to the wheels or rest of the bike.I suggest adding a safety loop.I’ll be doing that next time.

A bit pricy but it works.
Got this to clip on the back of seat bags on two of my bikes to mount a Varia radar. Works perfectly. Easy to just take the Varia off without even removing the clip (which would also be easy. I prefer to leave the clips on so I don't lose them.

HOORAY
Thank you for finally making this so that I can mount my Garmin Varia radar/light on my saddle bag. Super stable (actually took some force to get it in the saddle bag band). Very good product. Highly recommend. The price sure beats the price of replacing my expensive cycling radar.
