Bed head is the worst especially for natural curls. You go to bed with a big head of frizz free beautiful full curls and wake up looking like a teasing experiment gone wrong!The Hat Hut bonnet saved me from that fate and I woke up with hair that looked freshly done. I like the style of this bonnet a lot. I am a beanie type of gal and most of the bonnets are very large but this bonnet is small enough to wear comfortably even out of the house if needed.The fabric on the outside is a little scratchy but the inside is soft and silky. I chose the heather orange and it looks just like the picture and even better. This is a nice cap for someone not used to sleep bonnets so you can get used to wearing them at night.

This cap feels so soft and silky. Both the outside and inside materials are very luxurious-feeling. I love that the inside of this is actual silk; it feels so much nicer than the satin caps and pillowcases I’ve tired, and my hair likes it more as well. I’ve been laundering this with my delicates on the gentle cycle inside a garment bag. When laying it flat to dry, I’ve noticed that it takes a longer time to dry than pretty much anything else I have, so that’s frustrating, as it means I have to use lesser sleep caps while I’m waiting for this one to be ready again. I actually wish several of these had been included in the order so that I could conveniently cycle between them.The color “Grey” I got matches the product images well, and the inside is like a champagne color. The beanie shape is more flattering on me than the standard bonnet shape, but it still makes me look like I’m probably ill.The unobtrusive tightening strap is such a nice addition, as I have quite a small head, and other sleep caps I’ve tried often fall off in my sleep, but this one stays on securely. I like that no pieces of the adjuster strap are bulky or hard, so nothing presses into my skull while sleeping. The cap is quite a bit hotter, though, than all the other sleep caps I’ve tried, which is not so great during the summer but which might actually be nice whenever winter arrives, as I go to sleep with wet hair right after showering. With this cap on, my hair is usually still quite damp when I awaken, which is fine by me. I’ve been making huge efforts in general to remain sleeping on my back throughout the night for health and anti-aging purposes, and this cap helps with that, since it’s terribly annoying to sleep with this thing on in any other position, as it rubs against my face all weird (this might just be an autism quirk). I’ve tried positioning it behind my ears so that it feels less hot and so that the feeling of it touching parts of my forehead won’t be so annoying, but it falls off during the night when I wear it that way. So, that means I have to wear it over my ears and a bit onto my forehead if I expect it to stay put. Thankfully, when I wake, I’ve found that it doesn’t leave any unsightly marks on my forehead like some of the other sleep caps I’ve tried do.Overall, I’m mostly happy with this cap and how it benefits my hair and my skin (by keeping my hair off of it). While I do find some aspects of how it feels while I sleep to be annoying, I really don’t see any getting around that, and it’s probably more of a personal problem.
