Levi's Men's 501 Original Fit Jeans

I haven't owned a pair of 501s since I was in my twenties! I thought I'd treat myself and, as they were well-priced, I bought a pair. Still a classic; comfortable, high quality, good fit and I like that they make the 'odd' waist sizes rather than the 34" waist I usually buy, I could buy a 33" waist, which is a much better fit. And they should last for ages!

I own several pairs of Levis, including 501s, so pretty much knew what to expect. This pair had the usual high quality and was good value at just under £65. 501s are a good style for me, with a relaxed fit for those of us the wrong age for skinny or slim fit! What I did notice with this particular pair though, was a slight sizing difference. All my other pairs are 33W, so that is what I originally order. I was surprised to find them slightly tight in the waist. Not a lot, but enough to make a difference. To make sure it wasn't me gaining weight (!), I tried them against my other 33W 501s and they were definitely a bit smaller. These were sent back and replaced with 34W which fit fine. Just something to possibly bear in mind with this batch and colour. Despite this, I'm very happy with this purchase and the returns process through Amazon was quick and efficient.

The Levi's Men's 501 Original Jeans are exactly what you expect when you think “proper jeans.” Classic straight fit, solid denim, and that timeless look that works with pretty much anything. The non-stretch denim can feel a bit rigid at first, so there’s definitely a break-in period before they become properly comfortable �. And sizing can be a bit hit and miss depending on the pair, which is frustrating when you’re expecting consistency. Levi's The button fly is classic, but not everyone’s cup of tea either. Overall though, these are proper, no-nonsense jeans that deliver on style and durability. Not flawless, but still one of the safest bets in denim.

Quality jeans as you would expect from Levi’s. True to size fit and holding colour pretty well I’d say after around 10 or more washes. These will last a good few years for sure

As any genuine Levi’s wearer knows that it’s essential to get the right size and fit. These are genuine Levi’s and as expected a great quality. These only thing that lets it down a little is that they don’t have all the leg sizes in stock, but needed a pair quickly so managed to get them shortened.

I've been wearing non branded jeans for years, but spotted these at a great price (less than £40), so I bought them. They're just such nice quality, so much better than cheap jeans, and they fit really nicely. Might only have been 4* if I'd paid the full £70!

In my own opinion they don’t live up to the hype. I have for the last twenty or more years only worn Wrangler jeans, but with these being nearly half price in the ‘Black Friday’ sale I thought I’d grab a pair of these ‘classic’ 501s for a change. I usually take a 31W/32L with regards the Wrangler jeans, but decided upon a 32W/32L for the Levi’s. The waist was just right but the length is excessively long. As for the general fit its okay, but the fabric doesn’t hang straight throughout the leg and feels a little twisted. No double hemmed stitching as on the Wranglers either on the hem or outside leg giving them a less rugged feel and a more tailored appearance [again something I am less enamoured by]. And only 5 belt loops rather than the 7 that are common on Wranglers. Okay in general though I shall have to take up the leg at least an inch or two. Probably won’t be my everyday go to pair of jeans. As for colourfastness, for which my Wranglers do not hold for very long, I cannot comment having only recently made the purchase. But overall Levi’s 501s don’t live up to the hype.

Non sono i Levi's che conosco da 50 anni ed ho comprato più volte nella taglia 34/30 su Amazon perché ottimi. Questi ultimi taglia 36/30 non sono il denim originale e celebre Levi's ma volgari jeans con denim elasticizzato che impediscono la traspirazione. Se non esistono più i Levi's con denim originale lo devono scrivere in maniera ben visibile nell'offerta del prodotto e non nascosto da qualche parte in piccolo. E' un po' che Amazon mi delude sulla qualità delle offerte da parte dei venditori convenzionati compreso l'ultimo Bomber acquistato in taglia XL che ha le stesse dimensioni dei giubotti taglia M che ho nell'armadio. Sono amareggiato.

Ottimo prodotto, taglia e lunghezza giustissima. Che dire i "vecchi" LEVI's mi fanno sentire giovane ;)
