Merrick Lane Lofton Extra Firm Hybrid Mattress - White - CertiPUR-US Certified Foam - 12 Inch - Full - Bed in A Box

This was not a Vine Voice purchase, I bought it before becoming a Voice. I thought I took pictures but seems I was mistaken. So, to the details: it IS firm. I wanted firm. In fact, I wanted OVER firm so I could soften it to my own tastes. While I did end up buying a mattress topper after a week, I think I should have just waited a bit more. I did take a moment to adjust after coming off an air mattress for 2 months. This is also my first hybrid and bed in a box- I've used a full foam mattress for the past decade and I know how those can soften and sag, needing extra support. I did a lot of research about the difference between full foam and hybrid, coil gauges for firmness, how many coils should be in a mattress for firmness, etc... and after deciding I did want to go firm/very firm, I whittled away all the options (many were out of stock at the time), and it came down to this one. Not many reviews, so I ordered it with some trepidation.I was pleased! It undid easily though I did get it upside down at first and right out of the box it measured about 10". That didn't bother me as I was originally going to get a 10" mattress anyway. After a week it was 11". Now it measures almost the full 12". I slept on it without giving a full 24-48 hours to expand because I had no place to let it breathe and fill. I gave it maybe 8-12 hours and then put sheets on and used it. I have no complaints! There was an adjustment period, as mentioned, but I expected that. I had a bamboo waterproof cover for my air mattress and that had some padding in it and probably would have been sufficient, but I got greedy/nervous and ordered a gel foam topper too. If you get this mattress, and I recommend it, try it for a week or two on its own before adding anything else so you have a better basis for how much you need to soften it, if at all. As for off-gassing, there was maybe a very slight odor... but it didn't affect me and to be fair, I didn't give it the time it needed to air out. Any smell was gone in 24 hours.I got it with $50 off, it cost the same as my 8" all-foam mattress did 10 years ago, so I think I did well! I'd suggest it for those who like something firm. It is not a concrete slab, it has give. No creaking of the coils, no feeling of the coils. The edging may stand to be firmer- I don't use my bed for anything but sleeping, but it does seem like the edge has a bit too much give for truly helping getting out of bed. That is the only complaint, if you want to call it that. Overall, I am very pleased! Sizing is true, full is full. It's light enough for a single person to maneuver but you may need some help in opening it- maybe not. I could lift the box and carry it up the stairs all on my own. So... yeah! Good experience! I recommend this product!

The media could not be loaded.  this is the second mattress in a box that I purchased from amazon in one month. and even though I just opened it, it looks very promising. it does say to wait 72 hours to expand, but it's only 15 minutes and it's already firm. i learned that if I want a firm mattress, I need to buy one built with real, heavy, strong, steel springs. and this matches that requirement. this is 30% heavier than that other brand firm mattress that I literally had to throw away. if you decide to buy this mattress, I recommend it. and because of the weight, i recommend using two people to set it up. once you get past that, it's easy to open, easy to set up and it has the support for real sleep quality. it's currently 07/31/24 and if anything changes, I will update this review review. but so far, I am very pleased.

When I opened the package, the unpleasant smell of the new mattress came out and filled my entire bedroom. It lingered overnight, and I can still detect it, which is giving me a slight headache. Overall, the product is sturdy and firm; however, because of the persistent smell, I can only award one star.

The mattress has good support and comfortable. In my view good value for money!

It's actually firm. I assumed it would not be. I like a pretty stiff mattress and this is perfect. Would buy again.

Everything I needed it to be. I've tried so many stores and took a chance on this mattress instead. It's perfect. My back doesn't hurt when I wake up, mattress was clean and exactly as described. Wonderful deal!

The mattress had a slight odor right from the opening but was gone in about a day. I got the extra firm full size. Very pleased with the mattress. Sure can't go wrong for the price.

At first glance, you think this is a comfy mattress. But after just 2 MONTHS the springs are literally popping out of the fabric! I rolled over one night to find a wire bard piercing my sheets and sticking into my ribcage.This mattress is not fit for use as a dog bed. I would not recommend it. You don't even get what you paid for and the seller won't respond or offer a refund.
