I'm impressed
I will admit I had somewhat low expectations on this given the price. I am pleasantly surprised not only by the craftmanship and packaging, but also the performance. The product "feels" like it's quality in the weight, but again for the price, my expectations were somewhat low. I've had multiple compliments from peers who have stopped by my office and noticed it. It has kind of a industrial art feeling to it, and that's what I like about it. As far as performance goes, the one I received will spin for over 30 minutes, with one spin going past 41 minutes!

GREAT & NOW THE SCIENCE. Read on.
Good design & spins a long time. Must be on a flat level surface for best results.Wheel geometry is correct with most weight on the rim. That little bump on the top is a powerful magnet whose function is unknown.Seems strange given that a magnet close to any electrically conductive metal even if non magnetic, like copper or brass, when moving will induce currents which will retard motion.I will most likely take it apart to discover the internal construction and add comments at some short time later. I especially want to find out what material it pivots on. They are not ball bearings.

First Spin 1hr+
The media could not be loaded. First spin right out of the box was over an hour. This video is right around the 1hr mark and it’s still going! It’s dead silent, which was the other appeal for me. It’s fun to get a fidget spinner going on my office desk, but even a good one is just too noisy to let it continue. Plan to keep this at the office just for fun.

Pretty cool little desk toy
Maybe I'm a little harder to impress than some others, but I almost feel like this thing needs a drop of oil. I can't deny though that it spins a really really long time. Even a half-hearted spin on an unlevel surface and it spins for at least 10 minutes. My hand has a pretty good "flip", but I'm tempted to try wrapping a string around this to get some serious speed!I don't think I would use the word "craftsmanship". This is still a mass-produced item cranked out at high speed and probably made mostly by machine. But the materials/parts seem to be good quality, the spinning center wheel is very nicely balanced, and the design is intended for one purpose and one purpose only: spinning, and that is what it does. I would guess there may be some variances from one example to the next, but I bet a good one could spin for an hour with a good spin. I haven't really tried to see how long I can get it to spin. I'm pretty easily distracted. But when I pass back by this thing, I'm always amazed that it's still going! That said, I do have a tendency to be a little scattered, both at work and at home. I'm thinking this might be useful as a sort of timer to either keep focused on something longer or cue me to switch my focus when it stops. Of course there's no signal that the spinning has stopped, so I would have to be watching it or at least checking it regularly, but that could be a plus as well. Objectives such as "do nothing but listen to music until this stops" or "practice playing guitar until this stops" or "don't spend more time on this problem that it takes for this to stop spinning" come to mind. Of course, this would open me up to tailoring my spin a little to obtain a longer or shorter spin, but there's still some degree of unpredictability there. Just an idea I'd like to try with this eventually!

Horrible off balance junk
I have been playing with toys like this for years and had high hopes for this one and its junk. the assembly is not well made. the bearings are ok but not placed well and it does not spin at all like they said. I returned it.

Got the Dud.
Makes clunking sound when spinning and has a visible wobble as if it is out of balance. Does spin, but not as long as (I suspect) if it didn’t wobble and vibrate. Disappointing, as it was a Christmas gift. Instead of enjoying it, I had to sit there and explain to my elderly Dad (the gift recipient) that it wasn’t supposed to wobble around like it was. I wish it worked right. No visible damage in shipping or anything. Not sure what happened. 😞

Heavy and fast
This is super heavy and a blast. Made of week metal and when it gets going, its going for 30 minutes at a time. It's awesome!!!Super quiet and neat design makes it look really cool as it spins. I lose time watching the silly thing.Recommended
