Unusual Story
Jean Grainger has woven an unusual story here. I've read Books 1 & 2 if this series so being familiar with the main characters helps. I fell in love with the restoration of the castle storyline. The plot is excellent but a little slow. All in all a good read.

king of the Castle
Although this novel starts a bit slow, it picks up after the โstageโ is set for a complex adventure. The reviving of a local castle that has been abandoned for years becomes the main focus. But side plots of immigrants from Ukraine, reconnecting with an unknown father ( who happens to be bad news), to a haunted childโs playroom, to a grand opening that ends with a fire, keep one engaged with the plot.

Good old Irish ghost story!
What would a story about Ireland be without adding a few ghosts? So Conor is getting out of the tour bus gig and restoring an old castle with a character we were introduced to in book one. Things are going well, but some the ghosts and a few no-goodniks who show up are bent on a bit of mischief. I found Conor's wife to be way too insecure and whiny. Otherwise, this was a good book.

A fun & entertaining ghost story
This book is a quick read & was entertaining from cover to cover. Ms. Grainger's characters are vivid delights as was her plot. I enjoyed this book as well as her many others I've read.

Another interesting story with twists and turns.
I loved the book. Once again the author has written a book that drew me in from the start. This is the third book in the tour series, I have read the other two. I feel like some old friends have dropped in that I have not seen for awhile, and I have caught up on letโs of their life I have missed out on. The introduction of new characters and their personalities brought the storyline to life. I also found the glimpses of Ireland, unique sayings and folklore.

A lovely sequel to The Tour. A light-hearted story with strong lovable characters.
After reading The Tour, I couldn't wait to read the sequel and I wasn't disappointed. I'm working my way through Jean's other books and really enjoying the journey. I love the way she transports me to Ireland. I can hear the lilting Irish voices and picture each character so clearly I feel like I'm there.

Jean strikes again!
Another great book from Jean Grainger, lovely to meet old friends and continue with them on their adventures. One minor criticism, I found the title quite misleading, Conor being the main character as he faces challenges on the business, personal and spiritual fronts, with Grenville King's story rather a 'supporting act'. Perhaps 'Grenville King's Castle' would have been been better. The characters are once again clearly drawn and nicely developed, and although the book would be fine as a stand-alone I really enjoyed delving deeper into the lives of the returning cast. There are too many intertwining strands to attempt a synopsis of the story, but one part I truly loved was the transformation of Conor's son Joe as he taught his Grandpa to speak English. All in all, a very enjoyable read, and hopefully not the last we'll see of Conor and the gang.

A truly irresistible blend of thrilling action and gentle Irish humour
Oh my - this series transports you to the real Emerald Isle - not a shamrock or leprechaun in sight.Just a wonderful combination of very real characters, caught up in a truly original drama with a host of unexpected twists and turns to keep the pages turning. All bound up with clever insights and laugh-out-loud humour. Weeks after finishing the book, I can still remember the action as though I read it yesterday - a mark of pure genius. As is the supernatural element - brilliantly resolved.I love the way Ms Grainger seamlessly keeps us up to date with the fabulous characters we've met throughout the series, and I'm praying hard we will see more of Connor's adventures in the future.
