Confused as my dog is
First, I have a 20# senior Pug, she is too short to jump into my SUV and too painful to jump down, the reason for my purchase. Does it fit my hitch, yes. Did I expect to remove it and store it with each use, no. It does come with bolts to mount it for what ever reason. Having it mounted could be an accident waiting to happen, it DOES NOT fold up or swing under when not in use. That is my fault for not doing more research, i was expecting it to be feasible to be permanently mounted otherwise I would’ve purchased a step stool. Not sure why the middle size does not come with carpet to help keep their traction since the smaller and the larger models do. If your dog has nails, like most dogs should, then yes, they will slip on the bare metal platform, be prepared to add a non-skid surface. The middle size is so narrow and close to the car, it’s hard for her to step down on it instead of jump over it. Would you go headfirst down onto a 2x4? Well yes she does look at me like I’m crazy when I open the hatch and expect her to jump on to the platform first. So why did I give it 3 stars? Because it fits the hitch, after adding a nonskid surface she doesn’t slide down and it added two more worthless bolts to my tool box. Would I recommend, just make sure to do some serious measuring and consider if the mounting method works for you.

Not designed for large dogs
This product bent the very first time my German Shepard stepped on it. Would not recommend for any dog over 10lbs. Poorly constructed.

Missing piece
I am happy with my product so far. I just put it on yesterday and it is sturdy and my dog didn’t have any trouble using it. I do seem to have a piece missing where you would pull up to have the step spin. It’s just a threaded price and nothing is on top to grab. I’m hoping I can get this part, I don’t see anywhere to reach out to the company …

Rotation is directly on the thin faux diamond plate
The paint was chipped on nearly every piece. The carpet well I am not sure why they bothered. It is loose and flaps and is secured by 4 cheap screws that are bound to rust if the product gets wet.The big hitch bolt got beat up in transit or looks terrible in general. It almost looks used. The tongue does secure to the post but it really feels a bit weak to support the weight it claims. There were no directions included. What is online here is it.It really isn't complicated but a printed sheet wouldn't hurt to include. The lever to release and rotate sticks badly until lubed. The worst of it is that the rotation is directly on the faux diamond plate.Which means it scratches the paint off on every rotation. It just isn't designed to be left on a car for any length of time... but that is sort of why to buy a rotating step vs collapsible step or a ramp in the first place.Gave it 2 stars because it does function such as it is vs its price point.

Too flimsy and loose
I tried to add a video but it didn't work. The whole thing shakes and is very flimsy.

The platform bends significantly
First, the platform bends significantly if your dog weighs more than 50-60#. Second, the latch to pivot the platform under the vehicle doesn’t catch. My dog fell out of a Jeep because it turned as he was trying to step into the back. We removed the bushing from between the post and platform and then welded the two metal sections together. It won’t pivot but it is much sturdier.
