Holographic Nail Powder

Oh my god, they're absolutely beautiful! I did these today just to see what they look like, and they're absolutely beautiful in the light!!! They shimmer like a rich rainbow, such a heavenly color! This is the finest powder in a small jar, but with just one dip of the special applicator that comes with the powder, they cover the entire nail with a stunning shine 😻 I'm thrilled! When I run out (it's obviously not soon, despite the miniature size of the jar))) I'll be back to buy more, and I'll definitely use this in creative projects too!!!!!!!!

I’d like to start this review by going over points I’ve read in the other reviews for this product: People say it’s a tiny amount, it’s a sample size pot, or the pots shrunk. Holo chrome dust like this doesn’t come in larger pots. Wherever you buy it, you’re only going to get about 1g of product, and yes it usually arrives in a ‘tiny’ pot coz 1g of chrome dust only needs a tiny pot. I’ve bought other brand holo chromes from professional nail websites, such as Magpie and from them you get 0.7g of product but it comes in a 4g glass jar so it really looks like you’ve been had off but you haven’t. Magpie holo chrome dust is also around £15 for 0.7g so Kuka being £6.99 for a gram is really good value. This quality of holo chrome is expensive, so 1g is what you get no matter where you buy it from, so that’s the first complaint - it’s not a sample size, it’s not a tiny amount, this is what you get when you buy this type of chrome from anywhere. Second I’d like to point out that to get the effect of the holo rainbow on a nail you need to apply it a certain way. If you try rubbing this straight on your nail it won’t work, it will look dull and grey. The pictures in this review I used 2 coats of black gel polish, both cured and a cured layer of no wipe topcoat which is important! (Holo chrome and nail chrome powder in general only works on No Wipe Topcoat. If you have to wipe the sticky inhibition layer off your topcoat chrome will not work) Once you have the cured topcoat on the nail surface, you can take a sponge applicator and apply the holo chrome by rubbing it firmly but gently onto the nail. Once you have the required effect, gently brush off any excess chrome with a soft dust brush, add another layer of topcoat then cure and that will give you the holo effect. I only dip the sponge applicator into the lid of the open pot, I use only what’s on the lid. Dipping the sponge into the full part of the post wastes product. I’d recommend having a topcoat you only use for top coating chrome, the chrome particles will get in your topcoat no matter how careful you are so I have topcoats I’ve labelled that I only use on top of chrome. This is the best holo chrome powder I’ve used, the quality is amazing, and for the price you get a decent amount of product. Really good product!

Very disappointed in this product. I used as directed over black gel polish cured with a top coat then applied this product. The colour is patchy and nothing like the colours on Amazon website. There is no sign of greens or any other colour just a iridescant patchy shimmer. Waste of money, don't buy

The little Kuka pots have shrunk in size since I last bought their products before COVID struck the world! I don't believe this tiny pot is worth nearly £7! Is the product inside the pot still as good as it use to be - I'll update this review soon!

An affordable sample-sized jar of holo pigment to try without spending £15-£20. The directions are for use with gel polish but I wanted to see how it worked with my Zoya polish- I ended up doing three layers of powder over 'Raven' and 'Snow White' with top coat over each powder application. It wasn't as thick/reactive with one layer (using included sponge, rubbing in small circles) as I had hoped but ended up looking smooth and catching the full holo spectrum with a bit of effort. I think it makes for a fun accent nail or tips because of how thin it lays/how much base colour comes through and might be fun in some resin art, but it's not a replacement for a holo polish. It would be enough powder to do a bunch of manicures with but was difficult to recover pigment after using it because it is so fine.

I'd fancied having a go at chrome powder for ages. All the you tube clips made it look easy so I decided to give it a try! The product arrived quickly. The pot is quite tiny and I found it quite fiddly to open, but that's just me and my sausage fingers. Depending on which colour powder you buy will depend which base colour you should use. I bought the rainbow and the seller recommends a white base, which I didn't have so I used a very pale pastel grey. Once no wipe top coat is cured you literally dip the sponge applicator ( provided) into the powder and wipe it onto nail. The effect is immediate and fantastic!!! My dull grey went to ultra shiny iridescent in a swipe. A second sealing top coat and you're done. I love it and am going straight back to order more colours. A quick and very easy update for your nails.

You need so little this will last ages. Looks so good, sticks well and my top coat still adheres well on top

This made my nails very holo! I loved the effect and couldn’t stop staring at my nails in different lighting. I’d buy this again. A bit fiddly to buff it all in evenly, but I had best success by applying no wipe top coat, wiping with alcohol anyway, and then buffing in the powder. (And then dealing with another top coat).

Das Pulver lässt sich leicht auftragen und sieht nach dem auftragen eines Topcoat richtig toll aus. Je nachdem wie man die Hand hält, verändert sich das Muster und die Farben etwas. Man muss nur beim auftragen vorsichtig sein, sonst hat man den Glitzer überall....

Beh che dire, stupendo. Per utilizzarlo al meglio e fare in modo che non dia soltanto un effetto brillantinato conviene applicatorlo su un 'no wipe' top coat. Sembra poca la polvere ma in realtà dura un sacco, ne serve pochissima per fare un applicazione completa.
