HawkdaleWomens Leather Belt - 1 Inch Skinny - Black, Brown, Tan - Made In The UK # 803-400

This is a lovely belt - very soft and pliable but feels strong and should last a good while. My only problem was that ordered a size far too large so that I will need to make an extra hole in it. The sizing information states that you need to order a size that is approx 2 inches longer than your waist size whilst wearing trousers. It then gives a range of sizes from small to XX sizes each with two sizes in inches between 4 and 5 inches apart - presumably to take account of the various holes you can use in the belt. I think this was too much information because I followed the instructions and still ended up with a belt that is far too long for. me. I think I would have preferred to know the actual length of the belt (including the buckle) so I could have worked out the size I needed for myself. Unfortunately, I so desperately needed the belt for work that I have had to keep it rather than wait for a smaller size to arrive.

This is a nice quality belt, however be careful with sizing and colour. The 'red' belt seems more of a reddy brown online but is in fact pillar box red in person, which isn't really the look I was going for however I do not have time to change at this point so I just have to go with it...I bought a small, normally being "26 inch waist, and the "28 belt only just fits with a hole spare, so I'd recommend going up a size.Apart from that, it is clearly a good quality belt, real leather indeed going by the smell, and I'm guessing because of this it'll be durable too.

This is my second belt, the first one was brilliant, but this one has the buckle fixed by poppers rather than rivets, At first I thought it was great I could change the buckle if I wanted, but it isn't very secure. I think it will be alright when the leather gets more supple with wear. I would buy one again, but I would ask how the buckle was fixed on. But I would still give it 4 starts, the leather is beautiful, I haven't seen one so well made in the shops.

First off, bought two but not yet worn either but initial impressions are the belt is not edge stitched as appears in one of the pictures, this is just an indent to try and give that effect. The holes are simply that and do not have any metal ringlets to stop the hole(s) spreading and the belt at the buckle end is held by only two rivets rather than stitched. So the belt on initial inspection looks cheaply made but maybe and hopefully it will wear better than its construction would suggest. I do consider my size as XL and the 40''-44'' length was right for me and the colours are as illustrated.

This belt was too short. I ordered a Hawdale belt and one from Ashford Ridge. Both labelled large and 36 - 40”. The Hawkdale one was 4” shorter than the other and too small.

This is a lovely belt, not too chunky and very comfortable. I am a size 8/10 so ordered the recommended size. However on reading reviews that say the belt comes up small I was a little worried. Started off on the third hole in but after wearing for a couple of weeks i’ve had to tighten it to the fourth. Can only assume that as made of natural fibre it has stretched a little, which suits me. Not too long so doesn’t look bulky under t shirts etc. Very happy with it, use it nearly every day.

Looks like bonded leather and is quite thin. The red colour is bright red, so be careful when ordering.. Be careful when ordering as the width is quite small.

Its ok as belts go, nothing to shout home about but for the money it serves its purpose. Very sturdy and strong. Size is correct.
