Q: Can it be used in one piece with the seat folded down, or do you need to carry the seat portion separately?

I use the portable chair option only. There is a zippered pocket in the carrying bag to store the seat. If you’re using it as a Cane and chair, you will probably want to carry the seat separately because you will need the padding when you use the chair option.

Q: How do you adjust the height of the cane?

Hey Brandi, the cane length and seat height can be adjusted by following the steps below. 1.) Open the three clasps near the bottom of the cane shaft and pull the bottom of the cane to the desired length. 2.) Once the desired length has been reached, be sure to close all three clasps in order to lock in the extension height. Note: The three clasps must be locked in place to ensure that the crutch does not deform and possibly be unable to use. Also, there is an instruction insert that comes in the packaging with visual aids to help explain.
