What powerful band this was at the time and had a tremendous influence on so many bands especially on the west coast of America. This was their third album as their first album wasn't released until years later. They used their influence to get bigger venues to showcase the talent's of the black blues artists that influenced them. Paul Butterfield is still regarded as the greatest harp player of all time. Paul was backed up by a great band featuring Michael Bloomfield the first American guitar hero, Elvin Bishop, Jerome Arnold, Billy Davenport and Mark Naftlin.

Paul Butterfield puts together a brilliant collection of blues musicians, including Mike Bloomfield on Guitar. Early stuff, but good listen. Must have album, for my collection.

If you love the blues you’ll love this. A really tight band, crisp and incisive guitar from Bloomfield.But if you havn’t got any Butterfield get the first recording “The Paul Butterfield Blues Band”, which is superior.If you love the blues you’ll have the lot anyway.

Have the LP which has run it's course - CD Time - Great Blues Band and later Individual Stars - A Great Fusion of Blues...This LP came out in 1966-- which I discovered in 1969 and followed up by other great productions
