A very good fit. Easy to attach, well made and good value for money

I was worried by other reviews but the bracket has a flip-out section that easily allows full access to the battery removal/replacement so don'y let that put you off (not sure if they had an old version or just didn't see the moveable section). Great fit, snug and secure with slide-out vertical section to suit your taste. I guess you could lose the little screwdriver thing but at least they offer the chance to keep it with you and you just need to keep an old penny with you to undo any screws that you really need (unlike others that require you to keep a "hex key" safe on a job). Typical smallrig understated quality and value - just brilliant

The L bracket is exactly as described, fitted my Z8 perfectly and the build quality is excellent. It is a very good product. 100% recommended. The only thing to note is that SmallRig do not spend much on packing - a plain brown eco box with the product details on the outside. It is delivered like that, no additional wrapping, so if you cannot be in for delivery a good reason to use a pick up point. This is my second SmallRig item and will not be the last. They are proving to be quality at a really good price. Images show the bracket working perfectly on Z8 and SmallRig Ap-02 tripod.

This is the second L Bracket I’ve bought for both my cameras, strong, sturdy and very well designed. Really happy with my purchase.

WARNING - be cautious of buying anything from Amazon from independent sellers like Smallrig of Ubeter (for camera screen protectors). Your account from Amazon shows a nil final payment (if you have enough Amazon credit) - but the Amazon price seems to be processed in full on your designated credit/debit card !!!!???? There are no instructions in the box, or full instructions that I can find on the Smallrigg website. Not mentioned anywhere is that the L plate between the camera battery compartment and lens mount area is hinged - and has to be turned outward to allow fully opening of the camera battery door to change the battery. This in my view reduces the rigidity of the unit. The left side of the L bracket in the closed position allows easy access to both USBc connections and the 10 pin connector - but not the video connection cover. Not mentioned due to no instructions is the smaller screw on the base of the L bracket has to be screwed into a "mini tripod screw hole" on the Z8 base to be correctly fitted - IDEALLY BEFORE tightening the main L plate locking screw. Having done this the smaller screw can be loosened to slide out the left hand side of the L bracket (from the back of the camera) to allow access for video cables. There is an Allen key in the box and 2 small screws on the left hand side of the unit that allows the vertical section of the L bracket to be permanently removed. This would be convenient for video work with a camera in landscape position but again in my opinion slightly weakens the strength of the unit. My score would go up to 5 with reasonable instructions in the box. EDIT - there are now reasonable illustrations on the Amazon web site - my score goes up to 5 END OF EDIT My unit was ordered on Friday evening and arrived Monday morning despite an initial delivery estimate of 8 days.

Generally a well made item, but as a user of QD slings, was disappointed there was no stainless steel bushing or liner in the QD socket. Previous experience tells me to be wary of relying on QD security directly into aluminium, especially over extended usage. If you are not a QD user, then the bracket may serve you well, but for me, the added QD assurance provided by a bracket from Kirk or RRS is vital, despite the significantly higher cost.

Wonderful, great fit, and of course once fired easy to use, not that fitting it is difficult, the 'spanner' is held in place under the frame with magnet so readily available if need to make any minor changes. Pity they don't do other colours

Past perfect op de Nikon Z8. Geen problemen mee. Handig dat hij een beetje uitschuift om eventuele kabels op de camera te plaatsen.
