50 Knit Aran Stitches

Great great book. I've long been a fan of aran and havebeen knitting for 50 years, but I still found new stitch patterns in here, with nice clear explanations, again, written ones, (I HATE CHARTS!!) and lovely pictures. Only one issue (Can't call it a criticism because it is a personal opinion). Aran should be done in cream or white to show off the beauty of the stich patterns and I loathe to see them done in colour. But that's just me ......

This is an excellent book for learning and using aran/cable stitches. I bought it for my sister-in-law, who is keen to learn cable knitting and was so impressed that I bought a copy for myself! Stitch patterns are well decribed, with clear photos. I am an experienced knitter who loves to knit arans, so this is a great book for me, too, to add to my library. I would reccommend it for anyone who likes to experiment with or extend their knitting skills

what a lovely book, would recommend it to anyone who likes knitting cables, lots of patterns to choose from and good instructions.

Brilliant book, I've knitted up a few already and I haven't found any errors in the patterns I picked. Well worth the money and the results look great

I love knitting cables and there is a good choice here to adapt to other patterns. Also written instructions instead if charts which I prefer

A beautiful range of Aran stitches to produce your own panels or garments. Very clear and concise instructions with nice illustrations. Recommended.

A very good referencer for all sorts of Aran stitches. My only criticism is that all the instructions are for flat knitting, with no instructions for knitting in the round. This makes things tricky when cabling occurs on the wrong side. As you might see from the photos the Rapunzel cables I've tried to knit in the round have come out a bit sloppy.

A book every serious knitter should have.

This book contained not only the stitches that I wanted to learn how to knit but also ones that I didn't know about. It had clear and concise instructions for each stitch. The stitches went from simple to complex.With this book I will be able to design my own aran sweater.

o livro foi encomendado pela empresa, chegou num prazo antes do esperado, e atendeu as minha expectativas de conteúdo. E o preço da obra eu considerei honesto verificando a concorrência. Perfeito pra executar trabalhos com tranças e cordoes em trico. Recomendo como aquisição de toda obra 50 pontos fabulosos de trico (traduzindo o titulo original).

Die Muster in diesem Heft sind wunderschön. Leider ist die englische Strickschrift nicht erklärt, trotzdem ist diese Mustersammlung für geübte Strickerinnen eine Fundgrube.

Le livre est sous forme de magazine en papier plus épais. C'est un bien répertoire de motifs aran bien expliqués uniquement par écrit ( aucune grille ) et avec une belle photo de présentation. Attention il ne s'agit que d'un répertoire de 52 motifs differents, aucun projet est proposé. Tout est en anglais: si vous avez l'habitude des termes techniques aucun souci, si vous ignorez totalement les termes anglophones du tricot mais vous avez une certaine connaissance des techniques ne vous privez pas: sur internet il y des centaines de sites, de vidéos et de forums où vous pourrez trouver de l'aide. Perso, quand j'ai un nouveau terme que je ne connais pas, je tape son nom ou le nom abrégé dans la moteur de recherche Google et je regarde de préférence les vidéos afin de comprendre de quoi il s'agit.... Achat intéressant pour le prix et si vous êtes fans des motifs aran: pour l'expédition service Amazon impeccable comme d'habitude.
