Takes some work...
I bought this small bridge to go across a little steam in our country garden.I checked the dimensions: it's small but just about useable. It's cheap too, so we're in 'mustn't grumble...' territory.Expect it to take half a day to get it all together. I upgraded a few of the screws and bolts as I was lucky enough to have a supply of stuff in my garage. The first thing to know is that the manufacturer has to get this to you in a smallish cardboard box to keep costs down, so the central support timbers are split into halves with very basic friction joints that bolt together. If you put it together as suggested and do all the bolts up, the first time anyone steps on it, it makes ominous cracking noises and bends. Clearly this isn't designed to take freight trains over a river but my solution was to put a 2x2" timber trimmer alongside the central rib (which is straight) and this is enough for light footfall: it doesn't show when in place. To get all the timber foot plates in, it's worth making up a quick spacer out of anything handy. The manufacturers pre-mark/drill the timbers but when I tried using their guide holes the offset in the spacing will set off anyone who suffers with OCD and I could already hear my other half saying "Why are all those timbers out of line...?"!Once finished, quite a nice little bridge. I just wish there were manufacturers making more solid units. It serves its purpose, rather like a cheap garden bench - but I would have preferred something stronger that looks like it will last.

Fabulous
Aww this little bridge looks so gorgeous in our garden, we have run pebbles up to it out the other side and then into the river bed😂more pebbles and then our little Japanese garden. Have painted it Wild sage and it is a very nice feature. Highly recommend thank you supplier.

Short Lived
I’ve only had this a couple of months and it has started to rot and buckle - the bridge is no longer convex and as much as you tighten the bolts, it buckles as in the photo. The wood has also started to rot, despite being elevated from the ground.

Patience needed and 2 hours
Slightly overpriced for the quality only worth about £30.Suggest oiling all bolts before assembly, as this will ease them into holes, which don’t align.Lay all bits out and work it out for yourself, instructions poorly drawn.Put all short planks in place first.Extra support (bracing) may be needed in middle if adults are going to use it.Sand down rough edges if children are to go on it.Treat wood with preservative to prevent rot.Stand off mud on bricks to protect wood.
