not flimsy-well constructed-merino speaks for itself: warm in winter/cool in spring, summer. Great item.

It's only 80% wool at best, even though it has a bunch of all wool tags and it doesn't insulate like an all wool garment does or should. I have many wool garments and this one is misleading.

Disappointed, was hoping for snug fit..but, product is way too small...Quality is ok...own many, many outdoor athletic tops...this is worst purchase in about 20 years of buying outdoor clothing...

This is way thinner and lighter than I expected. It definitely won't replace.my First Lite.

I wear merino wool all winter. I have 8 merino shirts. I just received this shirt and it feels like some polyester material, not like all my other wool shirts. I flame tested a fiber and it curled up like polyester​ and did not ash like a natural fiber. It does not feel like real merino wool. Too late to send it back. China might be bluffing on this material.

very warm, look good and a lot cheaper than some “big” branded alternatives where the quality isn’t as good. these are excellent

It's not as good as the 100% merino tops but you still get most of the benefit, by which I mean it's comfortable, warm, you forget you're wearing it, and it doesn't have any noticeable smell until after 3-4 days of use (I could wear a 100% version for over a week without it needing a wasy; most other materials only a day).For the price (because the really good ones are far too expensive), this is pretty good. If you work outdoors in winter, buy 2 or 3 for the price of one really good one, and just wear them on rotation.For anyone who's not had merino stuff before - this is thin, a base-layer, you don't want to be wearing it as your "top" layer even when it's warmer or indoors, because it's fairly fragile. If you wear it how it's meant to be used, it's fine.

I've bought five of these over the last two to three years. Rather than wear as a base layer I often wear them on the outside over a cotton tee shirt or polo type shirt. They're quite light and very breathable. I can wear virtually the same all year round, indoors and outside. Perhaps with the addition of a waterproof jacket or heavier coat in the middle of winter. I've been very happy with how they've worn. Only now after a couple of years of fairly constant wear are they just starting to show signs of pilling caused by rubbing. This isn't a serious problem and I could still wear them as base layers if it was. I am careful to air dry them on a hanger rather than say put them in the tumble dryer due to them being wool. One of the oldest and still one of the best materials for comfortable garments though, even if it has to be treated with a bit of respect and kept away from cloths moths.

We now have 4 each of these (7 from original supplier) which are stiill as good as new, and have enabled us to keep the central heating down to 17.5 - 18.5 degrees all winter, so I reckon they've more than paid for themselves.Just remember they contain merino wool, so be sensible with washing machine settings and detergent used.

Happy with the shirt, I’m usually a standard large but returned for the XL as I found the large a bit tight. Not 100% merino wool but still seems warm. Hopefully it wicks moisture like my other pure merino gear.
