Good quality and well designed
I have been wearing this for the whole summer when playing pickleball. I can say this is a great hat for hot days. The design is quite airy. My head is not as sweaty compared with wearing other baseball caps. It is easy to adjust the size. Fabric is thin and breathable. Overall, a great cap for outdoor activities.

Lightweight Racer-Style Cap. Okay Coverage and Cooling but May Fit Shallow. Machine Washable
This review is for the MISSION Cooling Racer Hat (Color: Charcoal/White). I received a free taxable sample of this cooling hat to review in my search for a cap I could wear while running. The hat measures approximately 7" across and has an elastic band at the back which can be adjusted to give the cap an 8"-11" straight front-to-back length. The elastic band is secured by a quick-release snap plastic buckle and any excess length can be cleanly tucked into the inside back of the cap. The visor extends 2 3/4" in front of the cap with minimal taper and slight rounding only towards the very front of the visor. The hat is fairly lightweight at 44 grams but feels reasonably durable with nice quality materials. The main body of the cap consists of four fabric panels with an additional band of mesh fabric sewn across the front. Interestingly enough, the mesh fabric does not allow for direct airflow and is instead backed/lined by a stretchy closed fabric. The stretchy closed fabric also appears as a liner stitched to the inside rim of the cap and wrapped around a different mesh fabric. As per the care label, the body and lining 1 are 100% polyester and lining 2 is 85% polyester with 15% spandex. The visor is also wrapped with the same fabric as the four main panels, all of which have this very subtle grey on grey microgrid texture and pattern. As a whole, there is a good low-profile racing shape to this cap and the predominantly grey with minimal white accents gives it a modern clean look. The subtle branding via a 1/2" square fabric logo tag on the left side of the cap is nicely done and I like the grey-colored and logo'ed "wet to cool" hem tape on the inside of the cap. The overall stitching is clean and consistent with the six rows of stitching on the visor adding to the overall look. The cap as tested over a few runs was effective at providing coverage from the sun and some measure of cooling. That being said, I'm not sure I noticed any significant improvement in cooling as compared to my other lightweight running caps even though I did drench and then wring the hat before my runs (to the point where I had occasional water drops dripping from the visor). What I did notice is that the bottom level of this cap is designed to be straight front to back rather than curve down towards the back and provide more rear coverage and support. The end result is that I found myself subconsciously tilting the cap back to give it more of a snug feel with the tradeoff being less coverage from the brim and a slightly strange look for my head shape. The main takeaway is that the fit from this cap may feel shallow depending on your personal preference and head shape plus size. All in all, this MISSION cap is of good quality with a nice racer cap look, good sun protection, and reasonable cooling properties. I recommend considering this as a nice option for an outdoor activities hat and to keep in mind how the cap fits and looks on you.

lightweight, comfortable, adjustable, overall a great hat for hot weather
I originally ordered this hat for myself as a hot-weather running hat, but I accidentally sent it to my dad. I'm glad it went to him though, because he absolutely loves it! He is an avid pickle-ball player and also spends quite a bit of time doing yardwork. I think this hat will be perfect for summer yardwork and his outdoor pickleball tournaments. My dad has a pretty big head, but it fits him very well. He said it is adjustable and would fit a variety of head shapes. Some reviewers say the hat is too small, so I suppose my assessment of my dad's head shape was relative to mine (which is quite small). So, if you have a very large head, you might want to consider a different hat.He was very surprised by how light the hat is and told me he can barely tell he's even wearing a hat. He's excited to utilize the hat's special cooling properties (e.g. get it wet and put it on) when it gets very hot outside. Based on what my dad has told me, this is an excellent warm-weather cap, and it at about $24, it is reasonably priced. I'm probably going to get one too!

Very shallow hat
I read the reviews about the hat running small. I have a small head so thought ‘finally a hat that will fit!’ Alas, it was so shallow there was no way it was fitting even on my small melon. Don’t bother with this one.

It does help keep me cooler
This very lightweight cap is great for really hot days playing sports or walking. I put it under the faucet and got it soaking wet. I then wrung it out just so it wasn’t dripping. My head felt instantly cooler.Although the hat is adjustable, I do have a pretty big head and it feels like the cap is a little shallow. It is well made and perfect for small to medium heads. I tried to bend the bill of the cap a bit and it stays pretty flat because it is a little small on me. Wish it came in a bigger size.

For small-to-medium heads
I live in the desert Southwest, where today’s forecast is 102 degrees, so this hat would be very welcome if it fit. Unfortunately I have a larger head, and when I try to don this it just sits on top of my head.It does fit my wife’s head, however, and her only reservation is a small one : how her hair (which she wears long) will look after she takes it off.Otherwise a nifty concept in acclimate where the sun beats down mercilessly on our heads

Evaporative cap
MISSION Wet-to-Cool Cooling Baseball Cap is a thin lightweight cap that can be wet and worn in hot sunny weather. The evaporation really helps cool the head and face in the summer heat. I do the same with my shirts when I hike or need to go outdoors in the summer. My other hats are waterproof or cotton caps, which are not suitable for soaking. So this cap has the proper lightweight fabric to absorb water and the perforated front allows air circulation to provide evaporative cooling. The brow band feels great when wet and it instantly cools my forehead. This racer cap is low, great for me as I have short hair and a short head. I don't have to complain about being too big/tall as it is a good fit for me. The back adjustment is elastic with a small buck for adjustment. However the bill is plastic and doesn't bend easily as it returns back to a flat state. I'm not sure if I can train the bill to retain a curve.
