Like many, we have purchased several umbrellas that have disappointed in their quality and longevity. We decided to purchase two of these. Delivery was quick and we are very pleased with the quality and build. To use, remove from the holder, unravel the velcro tie and push the button in the handle. The spring-assisted opening is instant,and strong, so please avoid opening in close proximity to another person. If you are inclined, you can assist the opening speed by partially dampening the opening by pressure on the top. A bonus of the effort necessary to close the umbrella should be deemed as a comfortable physical exercise for the arms and chest! But, that displays the strength of the mechanism, and is supported by a lifetime warranty. Not lightweight at 400g and does blow inside out in strong winds. The difference being with this umbrella is that it’s easy to turn back the right way and no damage results. Really good quality, pretty and as waterproof as any umbrella. Important to remember how to close correctly to keep the mechanism working correctly. Good value for money, sturdy grip. One star removed as 400g is double the 0.49lb stated in description.

This umbrella appears to be very strong. I haven't used it yet, but it is impressive to look at. I got the black one, with the inside decorated in blue sky and white clouds. Even when it's raining, I will be cheerful under my umbrella. It's not the sort of umbrella that I can pop into my handbag though, it's quite heavy and longer than expected. Overall though, I love the look and feel of it, and very much hope it will last a long time.

A brilliant umbrella. Opens immediately with the touch of a button. Very strong, sturdy frame, with a great range of colours and designs. Excellent customer after sales service. A small problem was dealt with, with care and patience, thanks to Gen.

I kept thinking I needed an umbrella for my bag so I didn’t get caught out in the rain. I looked at lots and most were flimsy, even though some were expensive! I looked at this one and straight away, it appealed to me! Read the reviews, which helped me decide but I bought it because it looked good, sounded excellent and was larger than the floppy ones I’d previously owned. When I arrived I wasn’t disappointed. I love it. Yes it’s a little heavier than the flimsy ones, that’s because you can rely on it to do what it’s supposed to do and not break or feel fragile. It looks classy too and different from your average, flimsy brolly. Glad I bought it, I know it will last. The letter that arrived with it, giving the lifetime guarantee, is the extra assurance I made the right choice. If in doubt, buy it - great colours too!

Described as Strong - Windproof - Compact - Superior - Beautiful. Reality after just two uses in light rain and a very light wind. Strong? Yes, I cannot put it down without wrestling with it, even though I am following the exact instructions. It is without a doubt, the worst umbrella I have ever had with regard to that. Windproof? NO. The slightest touch of wind causes the umbrella to blow inside out. Compact? Yes, if I can put it down to get it back in the bag. Superior? No. I have had much cheaper brollies that work better by miles, and much, much better expensive windproof ones. Beautiful. Yes, I have the one with the flowers on the inside and it is a lovely umbrella to look at. One of the best in fact that I have owned. Other thoughts. Smaller than I expected. Not much cover overhead in the rain. Opens with a touch of the button which is very hard to do. You have to press down really hard. Supposed to close with the touch of a button as well. Yes, but the same as when opening, really hard. Whilst this will close the canopy, it still requires two hands to push it back down (you have to close it together by pressing hard at both ends, which mean your hands get wet if it is raining. Doesn't fit easily back into the outside cover, so if it is wet you need to bring an extra carrier bag to pop it inside as it will make everything else you have with you dripping wet. Do I regret spending almost twenty pounds on this? You bet. Fortunately I have kept the card that came with this umbrella. I shall be contacting the manufacturer with regard to all the claims. I might even ask for my money back! Would I buy it again? NO. UPDATE: After reviewing this umbrella I was contacted by a representative for the seller and offered a full refund, and a replacement Umbrella which was identical to the one I had purchased. The refund and umbrella arrived at lightening speed and throughout this communication I was supported at every opportunity. I used the new Umbrella yesterday in similar conditons for the first time, and was met with the same problems. It is such a shame as the customer service is by far the best I think I have ever received, and the standards are so high, I really wanted to be able to update this and say I had a much better experience. It is really important to me to support a young company, particularly one which is trying so hard to offer the very best product and service. The quality of the materials used and the beautiful appearance of the umbrellas are just two examples of that. My own opinon is that because of the design, this umbrella is less likely to break in the wind so perhaps that is what they meant by the description 'windproof'. It is suitable for a typical wet day, if you don't mind the struggle with putting it back down, as it works in that respect, however, it blows out whenever it encounters a light breeze and this seems to be down to the overall design of the product. Perhaps this just needs a slight adjustment. They are almost there with the quality of the materials and the customer service and ethos of the company. A lifetime guarantee is offered. I am grateful for the support, refund and replacement and wish them well.

The umbrella looks nice, feels well built, and easy to use. Have used in sunny, windy, and rainy conditions - does a good job. A tiny amount of water gets through the wind vents under extremely heavy rain, but this can be mitigated by holding the umbrella at a steady angle. So far it's a reasonable compromise considering how well it's holding up during heavy rain and wind.
