Good book
It was a good book with a lot of angst. The storyline was interesting and characters were believable but it just didn't tug my heart like I thought it would. There were also plots that were never fleshed out that bothered me. Still a good book though.

Intriguing premise that ends with a thud…
Ok, the story started off well enough. I liked the characters as it got started, and the primary conflict of the story piqued my interest for sure. However…First issue, the story ends at about the 30% mark of this particular purchase, and the rest of the book was the prior two books in the series - why did you do that? And second issue, the way the main conflict was resolved and how the story wrapped was so insanely fast and cartoonish that I wanted to give props to the author for creativity but not realism. By any stretch of the imagination. In that way I felt pretty cheated after spending a big chunk of my day reading it to see how it would resolve and then “whomp whomp.”Maybe if you go into it expecting a silly and rushed conclusion, I say give it a shot. But otherwise, okay to skip.

Fun, but don’t expect reality
This was a fun read with some heartwarming scenes. The overall plot with evil parents pretty unrealistic, but there were some clever plot twists. Some editing problems (‘pawns,’ not “pons,’ page 317, for example).

don’t even bother
this was honestly the worst book i have ever read, nothing made sense and there was so much going on everything just seemed forced. There was so much cheating going on and back and forth it was so annoying, the author couldn’t just pick one plot and stick to it, and when introducing new conflicts, he didn’t even truly follow through with any of them. I wouldn’t waste your time with this book. Needs heavy editing and proofreading.

Loved it
My favourite book so far from the series. Love Lou's cheeky cute attitude and Titus is lovely. A sexy and adorable romance with some mystery and fun.

Felt cheated
Wonderful to read how Titus and Lou's relationship blossomed despite having to go through the emotional impact of Lou's horrible parents and the money grabber Sey. My feeling cheated is the story ended after 32% of the book with book 1 taking up the rest. I realise Alex may have needed time to write book 3 but books 2 and 3 could easily have been one book.
