Works Wonderfully
Holds what ever projects you work on out side, will out last the wood you are using outside. Prohibitively expensive for anything except for but out door work.

Useful for more than pocket holes
I first started using these Kreg screws to make pocket hole fittings. The Kreg Pocket Hole kit makes pocket holes that look and perform great. I quickly learned that the Kreg screws were some of the best wood screws I had ever used. They are self drilling, the square drive never slips like slotted or Philips head drivers, and they will not cause the wood to split. For standard use (not pocket holes)I use the special pocket hole drill bit to drill a hole in the wood down about a 1/4 of an inch. This creates a hole that is flat at the bottom (so the washer head on the Kreg screw is flat on the wood)and it leaves the screw countersunk into the wood.Kreg makes two types of screws for exterior use. One type has a blue coating that prevents rust and acts like a lubricant. The other are these stainless screws. The blue ones are less expensive than the stainless screws and I have never seen one of these rust. I use stainless when I don't want the blue color or the screw will be in an especially aggressive environment; like treated wood used next to salt water.

Screws donโt strip
These have worked really well so far for outdoor construction, use a really good square but to install, I bought some impact Bosch bits and they work well with these. No issues so far. I used these in a project to attach decking to 4x4 posts, all treated pine.

Used As Washer-Head Screw For Attaching Screen-Tight To Pressure Treated Wood
Bought these to use as washer-head screws to install Screen Tight on pressure treated wood for a screened porch. Worked great. Bugle head screws would distort the slotted screw holes. These provide a clamping force without wedging open the slots in the plastic.Only improvement would be a Torx head. Soft stainless can still cam out with the square drive. Not a problem on these smaller screws into Red Pine but is a P.I.A. when using 3" pocket screws to assemble railing using harder Southern Pine. I love Kreg Pocket Screw Jigs!

Thin thread
It looks identical to metal screws, but thread hight (scross section) is smaller. Used on the travel trailer to replace rusted screws. In quite a few cases it just turns around without gripping to wood. Also 1 box arrived open with missing screws. Packaging is different than on the picture (Oct 2019).
