I am no expert. I am someone who appreciates tea for its flavor, health benefits, and history.
The media could not be loaded. I have been using this as the exclusive tea for my new Yixing clay teapot (as recommended by the internet!😉) and have really been enjoying it! This was my first Puer tea so I really wasn't sure what to expect as far as flavor goes.Black teas have similar flavor to me, when I taste it my mind says "Yup. That's tea alright!" Green teas are still new to me but their flavors remind me of refreshing greens like baby spinach or fresh cut grass.Drinking this Puer tea was a completely new and eye opening experience for me as its flavor was like no other. For instance, it is easy to overbrew as it gets bitter quickly, but practice makes perfect! The aroma of this tea is really amazing. Imagine yourself somewhere in China up on a mountain where the air is fresh, the clouds are close, and all the scents of the surrounding vegetation meander in the breeze. That's what it smells like! The flavor that I get is very similar, its as if they were able to capture the the essence of the whole environment of the tea tree and put it into a cup.Honestly I have no idea what "sheerness" or "warmth" are supposed to mean when describing tea, but Amazon asked so I gave this tea 5 stars for each along with "flavor".

Delicate Flavor
I'm no Pu-Ehr expert, but I have to say that drinking this tea is very different than drinking from the last pressed Pu-ehr tea-cake I bought, a Bright Tea product. That one was aged much longer, and had a deeper, richer taste and a deep dark-red color. The odor of this older tea has been described as fishy. Never thought of it that way, but I can see what they mean. This (smaller) cake results in a lighter-colored tea with a grassy, floral smell/taste. Not saying one is better than the other, but this one is more like herbal tea, the older cake was closer to black tea in flavor/color.

smooth and mild
I'm not a tea expert, but after reading The Tea Girl from Hummingbird Lane, I had to try Pu-erh tea! We did a tea tasting party and tried two different pu-erh teas. This one was quite mild, smooth, and pleasant. Our son-in-law, who knows much more about teas, preferred this one, also, saying that it is the type of tea to enjoy by itself. The other pu-erh was stronger and earthier, and would be more suited to enjoying with a meal (in our very American opinion!). This is a good-sized cake that will last a long time, depending n how often you drink tea. We made up to 25 small steepings from one tea infuser full, and even the last steeping was lovely. We do the traditional 30-second initial steep that is thrown out, and then increase the steep time slightly with each cup.

Real Aged Raw Puerh
the only reason I gave 4 stars is the cake was pressed waaaaaaay too tightly. it's very difficult to break apart the cake and get whole leaves...Other than that, the quality of the tea is exceptional...I've been buying Bamboo Mist Teas for some time now and they are truly high-quality teas... not the best in the world, but definitely top quality and worth the price.---- UPDATE ----WOW, this tea is aging AMAZINGLY! even after only four months, this tea has taken on an amazing aged flavor.it's going to be really hard not to drink it, but I really want to see what this is like after a few more years

If there is nothing else available then this is okay, I guess.
When it comes to raw pu'erh tea, you really get what you pay for. This stuff is all broken leaves. Taste is okay, but not the best. I'd recommend extremely short/low temp brew times to avoid the intense bitterness that raw pu'erh can have. Also if you have a clay teapot available then I'd use that.

Tea cake arrived today, quality of product is as good as last time, but bought as a gift. Can not give as gift because outer package was damaged in shipping. Very disappointed!

Beautiful and pure
A friend introduced me to this tea and I had to buy it for myself. The tea tastes amazing, according to the insert, it comes from ancient trees that can be as old as 100 to 500 years. Truly a treasure. I appreciate the instructions and good wishes from Bamboo Mist...” We would hate to think of any of the customer for our artisan teas stressing over the preparation”. Excellent! I’m relaxing with a cup right now.

Nice flavor and scent for this raw puer tea
I am somewhat new to puer teas, and have been reading a lot, buying the right teaware and tools, and trying different raw puer teas (I am not so interested in the ripe versions). This is the second tea I purchased after researching puer teas from several tea houses. I tried it today for the first time and was very happy with the taste and scent. Thank you for bringing this tea to us.
