YOU are not going to believe this... ok.. Call me an idiot but I honestly didn't know what cased the headlights to yellow. And maybe I never really put much time into thinking about it either.But HOLY COW the answer lies in using a spray bottle and a plug-in screwdriver that you use to grind the headlights down!Another thing I didn't know- headlight lights ARE THIN. So u don't have much room to work with (which nobody will ever tell u).So learning on the fly for the 1st time- I. DID. GREAT!! I turned my yellowed-old looking car (bc of the lights) to a NEW looking car bc of the lights!! ITS SO COOL!I've been telling everyone about this. It's truly amazing and works SO WELL!!5+/5 ITS AMAZING!!

Restoration kit repairs scratched lenses
I purchased a headlight assembly from a salvage yard on Ebay. The pics of the product did not reveal the deep scratches on the lens surface (see pic 1). Before I might return the item, I decided to purchase this restoration kit. The grit on the sanding discs ranged from 1,000 to 10,000. The scratches were so deep I bought a 500-grit disc and worked up to 10,000 grit. The first 2 passes removed the scratches and the remaining passes smoothed out the lens. What you see in the after picture (pic 2) is before I even applied 3M lens clearcoat wipes. The light looks practically brand new now!

Very good kit
Comes with everything you need. I started this process in mid 90's when I was a Service Manager at a Mopar garage as the Dodge Intrepid I believe was one of the very first cars the headlight glazing started on. I can still hear the Parts Mgr telling me I better patent that now because they are all going to start doing it. I'm sure other guys are kicking themselves as well. But, well worth money. Recommended.
