When I first started using this charger it worked well but after 3 months the cable between the 3 pin plug and the charger unit was getting hot and I didn’t feel it’s safe so stopped using it. I contacted E-s1mple and they suggested I use the 10amp version and offered to exchange with a newer model which supports 10amp and has heat protection or my money back.

Works well. No issues so far. Would recommend.

Very sturdy and well built, very good quality, cannot confirm the how well it will last as I have used it only once on an overnight charging and it performed well.

I am using this product since May 2023. Now when I plug it in starts to get very hot and smelly. Before I used to leave it overnight, now I am afraid to leave it. I am not sure if this is normal or not. But definitely strange as in the beginning I did not experienced this issue.

I have used this for the first time tonight. The charger starts charging and then after 10 mins it decides to pause/stop. Very frustrating as I was hoping to leave it charging over night. When I unplugged it to re plug it in/ restart I noticed the plug was very hot. Don’t know if this is a safety mechanism?

I found this charger a simple but effective charging solution for my EV. This has solved a big logistic challenge for me. Ensure the cable is not constricted to avoid excessive heat during use.

Seems really good quality so very pleased for the price. I won’t use this regularly, just as a back up, but tested it and it charged up my Cupra born just fine.
