Very pleased with this sink stopper. I have a 1 1/2 bowl sink and neither of the supplied plugs is watertight. In fact the water just drains away very quickly. I had been looking for a plug/stopper to remedy this and this flat one is is brilliant. My only complaint about it is that no size is given in the description so I had to buy it to find out. For other would-be buyers it is 6ins/15cm.

This sink plug really works! Our ceramic kitchen sink is extra large and has a large chrome strainer/stopper with a rubber pad under the strainer. After about 12 months use the pad didn't form a watertight seal any more, water just drained away very quickly. Very annoying when you want to leave something to soak. I discovered you cannot buy replacement rubber pads you have to buy a complete unit. I tried a couple of other stoppers, including the black one with a metal centre disc, but they only just covered the edge of the plughole and any movement in the sink just dislodged them. Then I found this Mod'n Style Stopper. It's HUGE!! But it covers the plughole completely and it clings like a limpet! A full sink of water left overnight is still full in the morning, so it really does work. Only one small flaw with the design, the handle in the centre is very small and difficult to get a grip on with wet hands so I have to claw the edge of it up to release it - and it really doesn't want to let go. But overall it does the job really well.

Although large (I was worried it wouldn't fit in the bath actually as it would overlap the wall) this does a perfect job. Used it in a bath which has a smaller non-standard plug size for which I couldn't get a proper plug and it does very well. A little hard to get off the floor of the bath however and lifting from the middle doesn't give enough purchase, but if gripped from the sides works well enough.

when we went on holiday to Gran Canaria, they had an overbite shower, which I enjoy, but my husband does not, as he is disabled and prefers to have a bath. The bath did not have a good plug and the plughole was huge, so the water would not stay in the bath long enough for a person to have a bath. A friend of ours bought this plug from Amazon, and I realised this would be fabulous to take on our next visit to Gran Canaria or elsewhere, so my husband may enjoy his bath again.Thanks to the good idea of this BIG plug. it will certainly come in very useful. I bought two so I have one spare.

I've been looking for something to use in my kitchen sink for a long time, as the plug has never fitted properly. Originally I was looking for a universal fit rubber plug but this is much better! At first sight, it seems overlarge but you place it over the plughole and it is the pressure of water that holds the sink stopper in place. I can now happily fill my sink with the right amount of water, or leave things to soak knowing that the water won't leak out.Very happy with purchase.

Been looking for a couple of plugs to fit a obscure double French sink for ages. Saw these and they are fab! Seal perfectly time and time again. Large, soft rubber so will fit any sink, even seal if rubber overlaps and extends up the side of the sink! No hesitation in recommending them.

Amazing - it doesn't look like it would work but it absolutely does! Managed to knock it a couple of times then it releases the water, but it's not happened that often so isn't too much of a problem. Has been an easy way of resolving a broken plughole and we can take it with us. If you can't decide which one, then go for this one - it's so wide it would fit anything.

I was initially taken by surprise by the large diameter of the stopper but on first and subsequent uses its excellent water-holding ability has been proved. I purchase two, one of which has been 'borrowed' by my daughter. As well as acting as a sink stopper the flexible material is also good for when my aging hands need to open a jar lid such as found on preserves. A very good, if unexciting product.
