Defective. New Water pump leaking.
I spend 700 bucks getting the water pump and new serpentine belt installed and now barely 6 months later it is leaking. My mechanic said it appears to be defective. The last water pump that was on my car was made by ACDelco that came with the car lasted 9 years. I do not know what is up with their quality control but this is not the ACdelco/GM motors quality I expect. Now I have to pay to get another installed again and AC Delco has still not sent a replacement or refund after I reported this to them. Very displeased with part. They should be refunding me labor costs too in my opinion.

This is the correct item
I first received a water pump stamped ac delco but the shroud was plastic. I e seen plenty of acdelco part to know it was fake. So, I sent it back and ordered a new one. I highly recommend you get the gm orange gasket. It’s a way better fit. This pump with the metal shroud is the way to go to repair this faulty original pump, at least my opinion. Good luck!

It’s an ac delco for a Chevy. Only works for LIMITED models only for 1.4T. Need I say more?

Excellent, better than what the dealership used.
Replaced the water pump on a 2011 Chevy Cruze. The water pump had been replaced under warranty once already by the dealership but it only lasted 80,000 kms/ 50,000 miles before it blew again (out of warranty this time). Upon replacing, I found they used an AISIN make pump. It had a plastic bearing housing that failed and caused it to leak coolant. The AC Delco pump has a metal housing and I'm confident that this should last far longer. The gasket that came with it fit perfectly, and appeared to be the same or better quality than what I took off.It also arrived very soon after ordering.
