I don't know exactly what it is, but humans are drawn to sitting around a fire in the dark. We seem to feel safe and comforted to be with those we love and trust with firelight flickering on their faces. It certainly explains the current popularity of fireplaces and firepits as gathering places.Since I ordered this fire pit, my family has spent time on our cool nights sitting outside talking, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. The usual family friction seems to be set aside for these calm evenings. Tension and bickering between siblings and the varying viewpoints are set aside as civilization's first council fires are reenacted over craft beer an/or hot cocoa.I am pleased to discover this theory I had about the combination of campfires and starry skies has been true for us in the backyard and on the decks. Flickering fire can transcend mindless emotions to be a calming factor. At least it has for us—a contentious bunch if there ever was one.If this little firepit has accomplished peace for my own group of arguing individualists, it may work for almost anyone. It certainly is worth investing in a bottle of medical-grade alcohol for a peaceful atmosphere. I recommend a firepit for all who need an aid to spark, repair, or extend relationships—and it's such a pleasant way to approach the task.

I love this little burner. Very well built and heavy. It does come with blue and black rocks so you can customize your look. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because you can't see the fluid levels.

I have quite a few table top fire pits because I think they are just so pretty when holding an outside get together and I have to admit that this is definitely my favorite one. It is really well made with a nice heavy base and the blue glass rocks just make such a unique and stylish look.

It's usable indoors or out and smoke-free so it doesn't mess up your ceiling when burning.The wick can easily be replaced, and the bowl is sturdy and heavy so a light wind can't move it around, for added safety.It's an attractive white with colorful glass rocks that can be switched out for other colors that you can buy and swap in minutes to suit its use for parties or holidays.

This is a pretty table top firepit to set on a table on the porch. It's east to assemble. There should be better instructions about how to fill the fuel, and what to use. I used regular rubbing alcohol. It lights easily. The flame flickers nicely. But, don't expect any warmth from it, because there is none. It's nice ambience, but for the price, I'd rather use a large dish candle, which has a good fragrance. i wasn't impressed, so I returned it.

I got this as a housewarming gift for my daughter's new place, and she loves it. It's bigger than I expected and looks great on her patio. The blue rocks up against the white stone give it some elegance so it didn't come off as an eye sore. It also was super easy to use with classic rubbing alcohol and the fire burns long without heating up the surface underneath. Created a great ambiance for their new patio and perfect for use year-round.
