Oh my God, I did not expect to like this book this much! The first book was a 4-stars-read to me and I continued with this one out of curiosity to see how everything will play out when it comes to Demiano taking over. And then I fell completely in love with Giorgio and Martina’s story. I loved Val and Dem but Gio and Mari have my whole heart. Grumpy meets Sunshine always takes my soul, I can’t help it. I didn’t care for one second about their age difference. Their connection felt so real and genuine to me, and he taught him how to handle life just as much as he taught her. They saved and healed each other and I loved every second of it. I literally couldn’t put the book down! And Gabrielle’s writing has much improved compared to the first book. I just loved loved loved this book!

Martina and Giorgio’s book was really good

You will love this series. A real page turner. I will be sad when it's over! LOL

It was ok. I don't know something, just didn't click for me.I got the ick to be honest when Martina drugged Gio and then he was hallucinating about getting it on with her but was kind of playing it out and she knew it was happening and he wasn't with it but let it happen.. I just thought the whole time if it was reversed, we would call it SA, but because the hot guy did it, it was ok??? Then there was the "punishment scene" where she says -- "Ow! That hurts!" And he responds with "Good. How else will you learn?"... sorry nope thats a big NO for me. Give the girl some self-respect for a change.These scenes really put me off for the rest of the book. I skimmed smut scenes because it was just eww for me at this point, and of course, it was the predictable dom/sub storyline (with no conversation the girl just out of no where agrees even though she is a vrigin at the beginning) like for some reason in mafia related worlds there is no other type of guy.The plot outside of those parts was ok, nothing new I haven't read before, and some parts are pretty predictable.I liked the links with the first book.I hope the third book might try and change things up.
