Really nice card BUT.....
Really nice greeting card, but, it was pricey. If you knew that most greeting cards, including Hallmark and American Greetings, cost only 27 cents to print.... then you'd know that virtually all greeting cards are overpriced. Next time you're in a Halmark shop or Walmart or Target, look for the cards that have a small tab above them stating "99 cents". If a card sells for 99 cents that means it must cost under 99 cents to print, right? Actually they cost 27 cents to print, plus a penny for the envelope. Now, these 99 cent cards are EXACTLY SIMILAR to the cards that sell for $5.95... same cardstock, same ink. This means that the $5.95 cards also cost 27 cents to print. So maybe we're all fine paying a couple bucks for a greeting card, however $8 or $9 bucks is a little hard to swallow. Granted, the "specialty cards" *do* cost more to make. If there's an extra layer of cardboard then add another 27 cents (so now we're up to 54 cents) and if has a cardboard shaped donut or coffee cup glued onto the front then let's add another 10 cents. Grand total for printing a specialty cards: 64 cents. Still does not justify charging $8 or $9 for a specialty card.
