I enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read and it’s the second book in the series. I’m going to read the next one

Is there international crime taking place in the seaside town? What a cast of characters! Are they all they appear to be?

This isn't a terrible book, but I found it a bit of a slog. Our sleuths wander about talking to some people, then wander around some more, stumbling across a body or two as they go. You can reasonably argue this is what happens in most detective fiction, but my problem is with the two main characters. They are so dull! There's no charm, no humour, and no unique 'voice' for each character. They're simply bland, and this makes the book bland and rather uninteresting too. I can forgive a lot if a book has engaging characters. Unfortunately that's not the case here.

I enjoyed the characters and setting of this charming mystery. Lady Jane and her Aunt Kate are an intrepid pair.

Agatha Christie fans will enjoy this mystery series.Good suspect development.Need to use your power of deduction.Dialogue is a little repetitious.Good story.

Interesting characters, humorous and good details of the location. Fans of cosy mysteries will enjoy this series. Looking forward to the next one.

These books are just plain fun. An elderly widow, a young woman with a bright mind, a harried police inspector constantly tripping over the other two, what's not to love about all the tropes trooping along together?Quite enjoyable.
