Bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend who is getting into pickleball and he loved it. It’s great for beginners, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, and the best value for your money.

The dimensions of the paddle were super liked. The carbon fiber works pretty well. I wish there was an option for a brown handle in addition to the white handle option. My handle got dirty within the first two weeks. Not a big deal, but for the company I wish this was an option. I like to have a clean looking grip.

I really liked the look of this pickleball paddle. Unfortunately the handle is too small and the grip was slippery while playing. I should have paid closer attention to the second number which is 4.1 inches. When buying a paddle, 4.5 is a better fit. UPDATE 1: I have now played several games with this paddle and have to wipe my hand between every play. Only one time I didn't and the paddle went flying out of my hand into another court. Other paddles I've used have a much better grip, even the cheap paddles. UPDATE 2: The owner of the company refunded my money for the paddle after reading my review which was very kind of them. I have since bought anti-slip absorbent grips for the handle and the paddle works great. If unfamiliar, there are grip wraps made for all types of rackets and paddles. Although I'm a new player rather than a pickleball veteran, I find this Brooklyn Pickleball Co racket very good. My son in his 20s has the same racket in a different color, and he has played many hours very aggressively and his is still in great shape. It's better than some cheaper rackets we've tried. It's also lighter weight than some, for example my husband has a heavier, more expensive racket which is also good but as a woman I prefer the lighter racket.

For the price, this is a decent beginner paddle, but there are much better options out there. The face has no grip on it at all. As you progress through the game, you will want more of an aggressive texture on the face of the paddle. This is slightly textured, but slick like Formica. The paddle itself is quite thin maybe 12mm and the handle is short. If you have larger hands, I’d look elsewhere.

I love using this paddle, my only complaint is that the grip could be comfier. I have felt other paddles around the same price range and they have comfier grips than this one but I still recommend this paddle for beginners!

Absolutely love this paddle. Was surprised at how cute it is in person! It has a large sweet spot for beginners as well. Would definitely recommend this paddle!
