My 4 ye old loves it
It is cheap material but not see through, any my 4 yr old couldn’t care less. I would say the tail is much larger than the sizing of the top and bottom. I ended up rolling it to fit her. Of course she wants it to look like the picture which is really just unrealistic. The flipper is open, I also sewed that so her feet don’t come out, which means she warbles around (adorable actually) or scoots across the floor haha. She has fun with it. We haven’t tried the top and bottom in water yet, but she has warn the tail in the bath. I won’t let her wear it in a pool due to safety so on that I can’t speak.

Mermaid dress up fun for the little ones
Who doesn't have a little one who is obsessed with Mermaids? I mean, how many times have you watched The Little Mermaid (live and animated) over and over again? I think we've memorized all the words to "Part of this world" years ago. Our little one saw this and had to have it. It's cute and they love it. The tail section is a bit tight, though I think that may be a function of long/large legs for their age (9). It fits and is used quite a bit for Mermaid dress up time (all the time!). Recommended, though you may want to size up a little bit if you can to have room for better movement.
