Literally the Best Toothpaste, No Comparison
Absolutely demolishes tartar (as much as toothpaste can anyway). It seems to bind to the tartar itself and washes out with the paste? Not a chemist, but using this has a NOTICEABLE difference compared to any other toothpaste (if you have a lot of tartar at least, idk if it'd make a big difference if you really take care of your teeth).I like to use this as a prewash for my teeth, tjen floss, brush with it again, and then finish with whatever toothpaste scent you want for scent (or personally, I use Sensodyne as a finisher because I Hearddd that it forms a protectove crystal layer over your teeth... but idk if that’s true, and if definitely doesn't compare to this for Tartar removal).Yes, it does have a "different" taste, but if's not bad.

Great product
I have hard calculus build up on the back of my bottom teeth where they crowd a bit. I purchased on 3/31/25 and as of 4/21 this came off while flossing!I oil pull once a day with guru nanda pulling oil at night, and brush with this toothpaste AT LEAST twice a day along with regular Colgate baking soda toothpaste. I have been flossing like a maniac after I eat anything, brushing more than twice if I can help it, and have also started using a water flosser daily throughout the day.I have been brushing a showing extra extra attention to my problem area. Love this stuff!

Good but could be better
Works but tastes like towel bowl cleaner smells. I hardly get any plaque on my floss now. Would like a non-mint flavor or even unflavored.

Over priced / over hyped
Ok, this product is good but it gets three stars because of the price. Effectively you can get the same effect by mixing your normal tooth paste with baking soda and a strong mouthwash and brushing 4 or 5 times a day for 3 minutes.Like I said, it is a good tooth paste but no miracle solution and it is just too expensive to be a practical solution when cheaper strategies are there. I am making good progress with baking soda and aggressive daily brushing to get where I need to after several months.

Did not work
Despite doing “all the things” (brushing, flossing, using proximal bushes), I struggle with tartar buildup and go to the dentist for cleanings every three months to keep it under control. Immediately after my last cleaning, I purchased and started using Tartar End as part of my routine. The reviews made me confident this was going to be a game changer. I was totally inspired and committed, used it every day brushing my with Sonicare for the full 2min cycle, followed by flossing, proximal brushing and then brushing again with regular paste for that minty freshness this product does not deliver. Fast forward three months to today: I went in for my cleaning excited and confident that my hygienist was going to remark on how little tartar I had. I was already imagining telling her about this remarkable product I found, etc. I did not want to influence her opinion, so I said nothing about my new regimen before she started my cleaning. Imagine my surprise when she starts that all too familiar scraping and then frowns and asks me if I might have started taking calcium supplements, which apparently can cause tartar buildup (spoiler: I don’t take calcium). I then told her about this product and that I was disappointed that my tartar wasn’t improved. She remarked that my tartar actually seem stickier than usual. In all seriousness, for the past three months the hopes/promises of this product inspired me to have the most consistent dental hygiene practices I have ever had. I’m usually pretty good, but for the past three months I did not miss a day of flossing and I brushed the full 2min cycle with my Sonicare. I thought that surely, that alone would have improved my outcome compared to in the past where I might skip a day or two of flossing each week and often stop short of the 2min brushing cycle. I never thought my tartar could be worse. But that is apparently where I’m at. So disappointing. Worst of all, I was so confident this product was working, I stupidly already ordered another tube. Anyway, the reviews are compelling, so you may want to take the $20 gamble to see if it works for you. I’m here to tell you that sadly, it doesn’t work for everyone.

It works!
I needed to try something different to remove tartar from my teeth. I was using something else and wasn't having the best of luck. Then I found this to try out. I was impressed with how quickly it works. Within 24 hours I already saw that some of the tartar was gone. The flavor isn't the best but it's very effective. I'm glad I got it.

An important part of the oral hygiene
It takes getting used to - the toothpaste doesn't foam and there is no pronounced taste, so your senses will need some adjusting. I've been buying this toothpaste for the last 4 years and really miss it once I run out. It leaves your mouth with a clean feeling. The best way to see that it does work is by scrubbing your tongue with it - it really takes the white stuff/plaque off easily in compresence with a regular toothpaste. My routine when using this toothpaste: water flosser to remove larger debris - Tartar End toothpaste to soften the plaque - threaded floss to remove the plaque - nano silver toothpaste to remineralize the enamel - mouthwash to take care of the rest of the mouth surfaces - dental probiotic at night to promote good oral bacteria - adhering xylitol mints to promote saliva while sleeping - xylitol nasal spray to promote nose breathing while sleeping. Yes, this is a lot but I want to keep my teeth for as long as possible, lol. Hope this helps!
