Better than expected! Well made and can be powered by laptop!
I have search for quite a while for a USB docking block for my M3 MacBook Pro, and previously I used one from CalDigit (dual HDMI 4k 60Hz), which required a dedicated power source and gets quite hot rather quicky. So, I wanted a replacement that is more versitie i.e. supported HDMI 4K 60Hz, and does NOT need a dedicated power source to operate. This unit does exactly that!Pros:- can be powered by laptop alone (no need for dedicated power input)- supports high wattage pass through charging- well made, aluminium chasis not plastic- SD card reader, and USB-C and USB-A ports.- dedicated Ethernet portCons:- the built-in USB-C cable is quite short, so if you put your laptop on a vertical stand and use in clamshell mode, you'd need a separate USB (male to femaie) extension cable. Make sure you choose one that supports high wattage charging and has high data transfer rate.

Good quality, but sadly the lead is not long enough to hang from a Surface Pro 8 properly.

First impression is WOW!
After weeks of reading up about different docking stations that are compatible with a MacBook Pro M1 chip and watching tons of video and reading reviews, I finally opted for this UGREEN 11-1.To be honestly it has not disappointed me at all. Used it today for almost 8 hours and it was just warm. Connects well to my external monitor without any flicker. Not tried the transfer speed and also couldn’t get it to power the MacBook (but every other device works fine).Highly recommended at first use!

Great dock
I've found this dock to be great and a really solid performer. Initially I thought it had an issue due to screens cutting out for a second or two on a regular basis, however this turned out to be a cheap usb c power brick. What I would say is get yourself a good anker or ugreen gan usb c charger if you intend to use this for separate screens. Since using my anker 65w usb c gan charger the performance with this has been fantastic. Nothing bad to say at all. Perhaps if being critical I wish the usbc output to laptop was maybe 20cm longer (I bought a short extension from ugreen).

Screen keeps blanking
For the most part, does what I wanted - easy one-stop connection to all my devices. But ...Second screen tends to blank out intermittently after some hours of use. Removing external power seems to alleviate the problem - but then the laptop is not powered. No idea what's happening, but it's v annoying. Is there a software fix?

Very good, but....
The dock has a great selection of ports available with decent speeds. However, it's imortant to note the following. I would suggest reading everything before making assumptions as this dock seems rather sensitive to USB-C 3.2 extension cables, but I would say it's a very good dock.I have been experiencing what I can only describe as "hazing" of pixels during desktop usage when using 1440p @ 100Hz.I also noticed that the ethernet port would drop and require replugging the dock to the laptop or disabling and enabling the ethernet port to restore connectivity.I have since come to realise that the dock is very sensitive to the USB-C extension cable I was using (unfortunately, this dock has a VERY short cable). I am now using a 2m JSAUX USB3.2 extension cable (previous cable was a no-brand of a very similar specification) and so far the issues seem to have disappeared. If you don't require a 2m cable, I would highly recommend using a1m or less extension as this will reduce the chance of issues. While on the note of using USB-C extension cables, it's worth noting that this will most likely reduce the bus speed of the USC-C Thunderbolt port I'm using (not sure if this dock can use the full 40Gbps), but for my purposes, it works very well.Testing an 80GB file copy shows that the transfer is holding at >900MB/s, so I am very pleased with this dock now I have a reliable extension cable, just be aware that using USB-C extension cables can cause intermittent and unpredicable issues, so I would highly recommend if using one, to buy a decent one from a reputable brand (and try to buy the shortest suitable cable to reduce the chance of issues).Hope this helps someone. The main reason I'm rating this at 4 stars and not 5, is because the dock cable is VERY short. Providing an extension cable or just a longer cable would have easily made this 5 stars.

Good product
Works as intended, plug and play, can work with it for 6-8 hours without issues. Slightly warm at the end of the day, so it might not last years, but a good investment if you are looking for a travel dock. One issues is that the USB C cable going your computer is quite short, so you might need to rearrange your desk if your port is on a different side.
