Ordered a size 12 red dress for my daughter who normally wears a 12-14 at most stores. Great for the length but too wide and needed to have taken in. Fabric was great and with the alterations she was comfortable at her party.

The dress is a size nine. It fits perfectly like the ads shows. The material is stretchy and fits tight to the body. Due to the the material being stretchy the length looks really short, but because it can't stretch it can be pulled down more too but can also go back back. Due to that because of the tightness and the stretchiness I would suggest going up a size high to be a little more roomie. Otherwise she makes it work and she will be wearing shorts under the dress and she loves it.

Finding a dress for a party for my petite 12yo is such a challenge! we bought this in a year 12 and it fit everywhere but her chest and shoulders had too much room. We got it altered and is a perfect fit. Looks adorable and age appropriate on. I almost went to the size 10, but was concerned about it being to short.
