Great little keyboard for a budget price
Pros • Cheap! • Highly customisable - can programme multiple layers and combinations of keys, including media keys (play, pause, volume, etc.) and virtual gamepad buttons • Programmable through website – sayodevice[dot]com – so no need to install software • Plug and play – instantly usable on multiple platforms e.g. Windows PC, Android, Linux • Nice mechanical switches and dial with good feel • Bright RGB colours, also fully customisable Cons • Documentation very limited and online site for programming not very intuitive – you may need to search or ask online (e.g. Reddit) on how to programme the keyboard, with more complicated functions being harder to work out • Black keys largely hide the colour lighting – I replaced with transparent keycaps on mine Overall it's a great little programmable micro keyboard that I would say is fully worth splashing out such a small amount of money on to have a play with its capabilities.

Far better than expected
Bought this device on a whim due to the low purchase price, and found it much better than I expected. As another reviewer says, use the website – sayodevice[dot]com to program. You have 5 separate function modes. So far I have only set it up so pressing the rotary dial switches to the next function, and each function mode has a distinct coloured light. The first function mode I have setup so turning the rotary dial navigates between tabs in browsers, tapping key 1 opens a new tab while holding it opens a new browser window, tapping key 2 closes the current tab while holding reopens last closed tab, and key 3 tap opens tab search while holding opens history. I'm sure I'll waste far more time trying to consider how I can configure this and make everyday tasks easier - than I actually save using it once configured - but I suppose that's part of the fun. The build is noticeably plastic but I've no issues and it's not too lightweight or creaky. The keys have a satisfying click action - it would probably be worth buying as a fidget toy alone. That's another reason I bought it, to try out a different type of mechanical keyboard switch - my main keyboard has linear switches and I'm not happy with them.

Almost perfect!
The headline here is: if you're thinking of buying this, you should. It's exactly what you'd expect from the listing and more and is a bargain at the £11.99 I paid in May 2026. Despite having a plastic body it has a solid, premium feel overall. The keys are satisfyingly clicky and I'm pretty sure the dial is metal. Speaking of the dial it has a ratchet/click motion (like a mouse wheel but totally silent) rather than a continuous smooth movement, but personally I like this as it stops you jogging it accidentally. It can also be used as a button and this is mapped to mute by default, while twiddling it adjusts volume. Out of the box, the keys are mapped (left to right) to previous, play/pause, next, but these can also be customised of course. I liked that there are USB-C ports on both the left and top of the device so you can place it in either orientation and have the cable come out the "back". There is a sort of foam layer on the bottom to provide a little grip, which works ok, but rubber would have been nicer and provided better purchase. Unfortunately, the website for customising it is not at all intuitive. There seem to be a million and one options so I'm sure whichever customisation you want is possible, which is great, but it's not easy to figure out. I also worry that being a website, it is always at risk of being taken down.

Just buy it....it's brilliant
This lil mechanical gadget is the business, plug and play straight away. Really handy especially if your on and off the phone the whole time.

Works great with FIIO music players
This works out of the box and with no set up with my FIIO M11 Plus ESS music player. Also note that I really wanted to be able to skip tracks backwards/forwards and its been made obvious that it can do that in the marketing. But it wasn't clear if you could fast forward and rewind through tracks - I can confirm holding down the skip tracks backwards/forwards buttons allows you do that as a second function. Very good device. Buttons have a nice clicky feel and its just perfect for a simple controller. The Website for the interface to add further functions to it for using on a PC is a bit temperamental - FIIO could make this clearer and I would prefer an offline app in case they stop supporting that app via a webpage - but I bought it for my Music player so not super bothered as you don't need it for that.

Use the sayo device web app!
Great media and macro controller. Universal commands work across Mac, Linux and PC. But the software is absolute a$$! Use the web app ‘sayo device’ (thank me later)

Works well straight out of the box.
Well made and works well. The app takes a bit of getting used to unless you're fluent in reading Chinese
