2 x 2.8 size holds exactly 1 Tbsp coffee
These are great! But choose your size carefully. I love my cold brew but am too cheap to pay for it, so I make my own in a mason jar with wire mesh. However, that doesn't work well for travel. I'm looking for an option for taking on overnight business trips. These worked great, with no leakage of grounds at all, and so convenient! (use a funnel to fill and tie tightly) I find the 2 x 2.8 bags to be too small for me. They will hold exactly 1 Tbsp of coffee and I like to use 2 Tbsp coffee in 8oz water for 12-24 hours, then pour it in a 16-20 oz tumbler with lots of ice and some almond milk. I suppose if you like your coffee undiluted, or make it in 4 oz water and add ice to fill an 8 oz cup it might be perfect for you. I'm going to try the 2.8 x 3.6 size next. I'm also going to try larger bags for my 48oz mason jar at home because I'm finding these mesh bags so much easier than the steel mesh-I get so many grounds leaking through the steel that I have to strain it through paper coffee filters twice! This experiment started for a 2 week trip to Hawaii; I tried the pre-packaged cold brew bags and loved them. BTW-Stella Blue Cold Brew was the best of all I tried...fantastic!

Why in the World Did I Wait So Long to Try These??
These little bags rock! I am a cold brew drinker and have been using a large pickle/jalapeno jar to make my batches of cold brew for years.Although the coffee always taste great, it's quite an ordeal to make it and clean up. With these little bags, not only are they easy to fill, but the cleanup is so much better! Also, I can actually add more cold water to the batch when I get to the bottom and it makes another easy, quick batch. I will never use a strainer to take care of this anymore. Love love love these!...a little update.Yes, they are smaller than expected, but that's the size they are. (There are larger ones available)I generally use a bit less than a cup of grounds to 1 gallon of water for my batches. Then I dilute a bit for a cold brew glass. You can also use full strength to heat up for hot coffee. With these little bags, I use 2 bags and fill them tightly and tie off. Sometimes 3 bags, not so full. It's all trial and error for your own particular tastes.I have noticed that not only does my coffee taste better (cleaner and less bitter) but it also 'brews' faster, imo. With these bags, I can make more frequent batches and just grab and drink! No more messy preparations!!

Smaller than expected
These little bags are described accurately and don't affect the flavor of what you're using them for. As far as I know, there's nothing chemical or artificial in the material they're made from and material is strong. My only complaint, they are a lot smaller than what they look like in the pictures. They worked for my intended purpose; not having to clean coffee grounds and getting coffee sludge in my cup when using a French press. I think presses are good but the sludge at the bottom of my cup and then the grounds clean up is plain aweful. My press sits collecting dust next to my easy Nespresso. I thought there has to be another way. I went through a lot of different products. These have good reviews and seem to fit my purpose. When I first opened them, I thought they were maybe folded. They weren't. They are precisely the size of a Lipton tea bag. Even my herbal round tea bags are bigger. There are a lot in the 2 ziplock bags they're packed in. I only used 1/2 of one of the bags for an entire 11oz can of coffee. I used a small funnel to fill. That's the best way wo making a mess. The BEST thing was after using about 6 bags in my press, no sludge and no grounds to clean up):) For the first time I had good French press coffee. The bags are strong, no grounds seeped through at all. No effect on flavor. All I had to do was empty the bags in the garage and rinse out the pot. I gave 4 stars bc of the size. If they were bigger I'd give them 5. I definitely recommend but just be aware of the size.

My solution for traveling coffee
I like to brew my own fresh strong coffee when I travel. Hotel-provided coffee usually doesn’t suffice, or I’m leaving too early in the morning to get the good stuff at the breakfast buffet. So, I make a cup full of cold brew the night before, then in the morning either quickly heat it in the microwave or drop it into my car’s heated travel cup. Easy peasy.

Amazing for making coldbrew. Best method I’ve tried
I’ve been making my own cold brew for over a year in 64oz mason jars in my fridge. This is by far the best tasting and least messy method I’ve tried for making coldbrew.1 cup of coffee grounds to 4 cups(64oz) distilled water. I tie the bag as close to the grounds as possible and shake up the mason after closing it. Let sit over night and there you go, if you stay on top of it you’ll never run out of cold brew. I usually have 3 masons going at a time and my boyfriend always grabs some on his way out the door in the morning.Previously I’ve tried loose grounds in the jar, that I would strain into another container and then put back. That was very messy and could be hard to keep up with, and the taste was not consistent. Often would have an accident and the grounds would end up on the floor. Wet coffee grounds are gross to clean up.I bought a 64oz mason stainless steel strainer specifically for cold brew, and used that but I think the strainer held onto the acid and oils from the coffee even after washing it and made the cold brew very bitter. Results were not consistent. These are def the best option I tried, I use them everyday.

Work great!
Kind of tedious tying off the bags but they work & you just throw them away after brewing. I use for cold brew. They float but I just fill the jar or pitcher to the brim so they are submerged.
