My 13 year old daughter picked up the first book in this series from her school library as they have to read for an hour once a week during tutor time. She has always admitted that she doesn’t enjoy reading books because she finds that the words don’t stick in her mind so she can end up having to re read the page or she looses track of the story. For some reason she said that she found this book easy to read and actually really enjoyed it. Then she saw within the book that the author had written more so we looked on Amazon and found this set of books. I jumped at the chance of buying more books that she would enjoy reading to encourage her to read more in general. She is now on the second book and is choosing to sit and read a lot more rather than spend time online on her PC. For me this is the result I wanted. My daughter loves these books and says the stories are holding her interest and she excitedly told me in detail what the plot was which she has never done before. Happy mum and happy daughter. Well worth the money as the books are beautifully presented in a cardboard sleeve along with an accompanying leaflet.
