It's GREEN - any other colour?
I contacted the supplier to return this item immediately. When I opened the box, a fairly substantial fabric started to emerge. The good stuff stopped there. The photo shows a black parasol, as does the product description. No colour option. The one delivered was lime green. Didn't bother taking it out of the box. The supplier suggested that Amazon may have posted the wrong picture- not wholly convinced. They arranged a Parcel Force collection on a particular day between 8am-8pm. I took photos of the damage to the package before it was collected, as it had been repaired with Hermes packing tape before delivery. Parcel Force didn't come on the day as arranged, so I booked them 2 days later, same ridiculous time slot. The driver apologised for not coming to collect it before - I pointed out that I'd seen him drive past twice that day. He muttered something about SatNav. I had previously had an email from supplier to say they'd refund it on arrival and inspection, hence photographing the tape on the box in case there was any damage. Couple of days later I had another email asking if it had been collected yet? Finally got my refund. Oh, and by the way, it only comes in lime green.

Good idea. Poor execution!
Overall it doesn't do what is supposed to hence the 2 star. The crank handle slowly comes undone. It won't lock into position so the parasol slowly collapses in on itself. This itself makes me think I might return it. On the underside in the centre of the parasol is a fitting that threads the string that I assume should be in the pole. It isn't and so I have to put it in place whilst cranking which is not ideal. Finally the merest breeze makes it rock around. This may be a feature of all banana parasols but its not great.Update. Just found that the string holding the parasol in the centre is now frayed to the point that it will snap imminently. Going to have to return it.

Very good but needs extra weight on base
Strong and does the job perfectly!I love it.Only thing I wish I knew before is that you are going to need to put weight on the base to hold it down, the pegs that come with it don’t do anything.I was think I’m planning on putting the base under ground as a permanent fixture .

BEWARE NO NOT BUY
ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH DO NOT BUY!!! Hardly used this. Put it up for the second time in no wind whatsoever and it bent and crashed down on everyone sitting under it. When we tried to straighten it, it sheered off completely. Worst thing though is the lack of response from seller, completely rude not to reply after numerous messages. It’s now in the hands of Amazon who has also had no response from seller.

Weights needed
For the money it’s excellent - very well made and looks as good as some costing loads more.Does need very strong weights - I’ve now used breeze blocks which are hidden by garden chair. Definitely take note of size - it’s very large.

Umberella
I bought a banana umberella, not a wooden bench!Service was excellentThe umberella is very easy to put together though a little stiff to move up and down at first. The whole structure needs to be firmly fixed to the floor as it can be unstable. I fitted mine to a wooden deck with coach screws.Once in place it is very good, although care must be taken in windy conditions. During very stormy weather i would strongly recommend that the main parts of the umberella be dismantaled and stored.
